Tried Union Jack for the first time, I figured with the name they would serve a nice English Style Fish and Chips.I was wrong, the fries were hard and rubbery, the halibut was dense and hard, the batter was crispy and hard. Large portions, but what is portion size if it isn't good.The gravy was nice and the coleslaw was good.The young man behind the counter was very friendly, polite, a nice representative for the company.I never leave food on my plate, particularly when I pay for it, this one I did.Not representative of the name, unfortunately, live and learn

I love fish and chips, and especially British Style Crispy Batter Halibut. My first visit to Union Jack's and was very pleased. My family and I will be back for more!

Ordered from Grimsby location for the first (and last) time. Although the portions were large, fish batter was greasy and tasted 'off' like the oil had gone bad or something. Fish was definitely not haddock- looked more like a cheap whitefish pressed into a patty. Fries were limp and also had that 'off' taste. Just horrible. Never again!

Personally will never eat there again. Have tried it twice now and each time got violently ill. Fish was greasy, had to search for the fish in all the batter. Chips were overcooked. Not for me. Sorry!

New to Grimsby had heard good things but very disappointed wouldn’t recommend! Fish was raw breading was like liquid and the gravy was water thin consistency. Very dissatisfied :(

Poutine had no taste what so ever. The Mac n cheese bites had no dipping sauce. And where also cold in the middle like they weren't in the fryer long.

Very Very Disappointed!! We had ordered from this restaurant previously and were very pleased with the food and service. We ordered on line for pick up. This time we ordered through Skip the Dishes and we were EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!! The driver made minimum of 3 stops prior to arriving, seemed a little excessive, but did finally show up about an hour after the order was placed. One of the boxes (2 fish and fries) was essentially empty! Granted, two fish, but very few fries. Not impressed! Would like to have been able to post a photo.
