How can you book a room when nobody answers the phone??? No voicemail, no nothing.

Old out dated needs to sell food and have more to offer. Great staff

I was expecting something much different for this stay due to the other reviews. I was pleasantly surprised - I’m travelling across Canada and have stayed at several motels for the same price. This one was easily my favourite. The room is super clean, spacious, bright, super affordable and has everything you need. The owner was incredibly kind and hospitable, went out of his way to help me. The motel itself could probably use a sign as it’s a few blocks down from the actual motel office, so I was a little unsure when I was looking for it. But I loved this place and wish I could have stayed longer!

Good food and service

I can’t really give 5 stars because it’s not 5 stars quality but it has everything. There are shampoos, something I haven’t got for a while staying in motels after northern Ontario. The room is spacious, there are 2 bedrooms, multiple closets, a kitchen with all the kitchen stuff you need. Makes me feel like this is more like an Airbnb than a motel. Everything is very clean. There is hot water. The hotel is separate from the reception and the restaurant. The manager is a very nice and friendly man. He gave me a discount when I stayed one more night just to rest before a big ride the next day. And the regular price is already reasonable enough. This is the cheapest and most comfortable stay on my entire bike trip so far. The reception is not open until 1pm on Sunday but there is a gas station in town where you can buy food and drinks. They open from 7am -9pm everyday. The hotel restaurant has only pizza, French fries at the moment due to covid. The location of the hotel is very close to the train station so you’ll hear the train coming every hours. It’s good for one night on your way across the province. I think the manager was surprise when I decided to stay for an extra day when everything is closed on Sunday even the only grocery store in town. But why would I pass on a rest day to wait for the wind to die down in such a reasonable and comfortable motel. Definitely stay here if you are passing through Saskatchewan.

Hotel where you check in is on fourth street. Motel-like building with each unit having its own colour (looks bungalow-y) is on eighth. Seems like a set up for crews staying for work... kind of like an apartment... fridge works, stove works, but the oven does not. Kitchen could be wiped down better. Toilet bowl has some permanent darkness... probably from water. Beds are clean.You need a sense of adventure to stay here.Grocery store in town open until 530 pm... has bagged lunches and some microwave meals.Restaurants might be open when you are there. They weren't open for lunch when we were there on a weekday in September.

Chaplin hotel is under new management and have cleaned the place up with a fresh clean family environment. Since the new management they now have homemade burgers and pizza that is fresh every day. They do have motel rooms but rooms need work staff is very friendly as to the food I would definitely go back there hours of operation are Tuesday to Saturday Tuesday 3 to 10 Wednesday 3 to 10 Thursday 3 to 10 Friday 4 to 11 Saturday 4 to 11
