West Plains United Church

I am a lifelong member of this church family. Through lean and fat times, turmoil, war and confusion this small yet faithful congregation has flourished. Respect for the past is seen in the care taken of our precious memorial windows and lovingly hand-polished woodwork. Many of our young men and women sacrificed willingly to serve in whatever manner called - the armed forces, to nursing, to ministry. We have been blessed with a community willing to face hard questions and work through painful realities. Ongoing community involvement and support is a loving service provided and supported by the entire congregation. Even in these COVID times and with a newly called minister, ways have been found to continue providing pastoral care. Weekly sermons are recorded so our people can worship in safety at home. Measures are even now being planned to allow significant services to happen in a safe, limited manner as the year draws closed. Please join us online.
