Great atmosphere, great food, great presentation, service was a little bit slow but expected since it’s still pretty new and busy at that. Would definitely go for seconds.

Unfortunately, this was a miss. I enjoyed the service at first, but as the night went on, I was fairly disappointed with the food and drink. The kitchen forgot our tables order and the food came out bland. The waitress was really nice and tried her hardest to keep us happy, but unfortunately that wasn’t enough to save the overall experience. I’ll give it a try when the business is more established

Overall, great place for Afro-Caribbean food. The Jerk chicken with rice and sweet plantains were delicious. I also had the amoretto sour which hit the spot. The potion size was perfect. The ambience however was very smoky and I found myself coughing because the smoke was overwhelming- even tho they did open the doors so that is the reason behind the one star for ambience. The have three areas where they can improve: 1) The menus- they were printed on thick paper that was already looking in bad shape- this did not match the vibe of the place. 2) the fancy cocktails- I really wanted the bubble cocktail but they only offered at the Montreal location- I was very sad :(.. and 3) please address the ventilation problem- not only for the patrons but also for the staff that have to work in that smoke for hours- This is a REAL health and safety issue that effects staff physical health! Otherwise, I highly recommend and definitely be returning as I loved the food.

My boyfriend and I ordered the lobster mac and cheese and rasta pasta for our mains, they were good (nothing too crazy to rave about). Unfortunately, the plating size is really small considering the price point for each lobster option being $28-32, very expensive. I was expecting more sizeable chunks of lobster and not two tablespoons size of shredded lobster. I also ordered the spicy margarita, and I agree with another person who mentioned that it was too strong, I felt like I was taking a shot every 2 sips. I must say that the design and look of the restaurant is very nice.

I had high expectations of this place and was really excited to try it but unfortunately the food wasn’t as good as I had hoped. The spicy pineapple margaritas we had tasted more like tequila and barely tasted like pineapple. We had jerk calamari which was supposed to come with pickled scotch bonnet peppers but didn’t, and it only had a bit of jerk sauce on the bottom of the serving bowl. We also had oxtail poutine which was okay but could use more flavour. The jerk chicken mac & cheese was dry (chicken was dry and the mac n cheese wasn’t very creamy). (Poutine and mac & cheese were supposed to be their « chef’s choice items »). The only decent dish was the jerk chicken wings. I would be willing to try it again to see if other items on the menu are better because some items sound really good. Service was also pretty slow but I understand it was their opening weekend so it’s understandable.

It's the worse and most disgusting dining experience I have ever had. From the servers to the manager, first no air conditioning in place, and the place was boiling hot with flies, and overly salty meat, we asked the server to taste the food and she confirmed it was too salty and when asked for a discount since we were not able to eat the food the manager make a mockery of us by laughing in our faces that's just beyond disgusting.

By far the worst experience ever. They ran out of over 1/2 the menu items. Our server admittedly (via shoulder shrug) was unaware of the remaining items. The lack of ventilation system created quite the ambiance. The decor of a mop and bucket was interesting but what tops it all is the open kitchen where we watched a staff member remove her gloves as her over length nails kept breaking them and then continued to use her phone and sneeze all while preparing food . For a new restaurant to advertise as “the best food on Clarence street ” yet offer an embarrassment of an establishment and sub standard cuisine is an embarrassment.
