What more can I say about excellent help/advice offered to me by the same helpful staff again yesterday? THANK YOU!Just got some excellent service from a middle age grey hair gentleman in glassses working at the service desk. (I didn't get his name) I needed help to match my screws with some washers. He was busy but still came back to look for me at the Isle where the nails and screws were stocked and helped me to decide on the right product! I will shop again and again there!

Looking for an access panel cover for water shut-off valve and the senior clerk on the floor didn't have a clue what it was and just said that they don't have it. I later found it myself but they didn't have the size that I was looking for. Rona has downsized their stores as well as their customer service experience.

Always had some issues with front staff. Some are nice like the tall lady with glasses on return isle but others I end up in a shouting match ; usually over getting the drinking water. Another time dispute over me recycling too many light bulbs. It was like those ladies don’t want to work but just want to stand there and get paid. Now they removed the water service. Prices are higher than HD but the smaller store making things easy to find. Never had a problem with Customer service dept. Just dislike some of those cashiers.

Staff was really kind and helpful. I had to return something that’d I’d thrown the receipt out for and I wasn’t sure they’d be able to help. But they looked it up and gave me my money back, and we’re nice about it. :)

Majority of the employees here are very helpful and friendly but today one employee came off as extremely rude. Today I went to return a 4”x4”x8” wooden pillar. The staff at the building material was friendly and so was the return till staff (although she wasn’t great with math but her attitude was awesome) but the employee at the 2nd cashier till was not. “Just return his money so he can get out of here” - direct quote word by word from her. I’m sure English isn’t her second language because of her ethnicity: Caucasian. So it’s inexcusable of her to say that to a customer. If it weren’t for the other two staff members that I encountered today, I would have given this store negative stars. Rona should fire these type of staff members, they will only drive away customers - additional training wouldn’t help because other staff members don’t have this problem.

During my entry, I over heard a discrimination comment from one of the Caucasian employees at the cashier. She said “you are from China, the communist side of China.” to another Asian colleague at the cashier. Racism should not be tolerated.

Words are inadequate to express my deep sense of gratitude for how Samantha assisted me.Last week, I wanted to install privacy screens in my patio and I just wanted to do it on the same day. Since morning, I went to Canadian Tire, Home Depot and other shops, but couldn’t find what I was looking for. No one spent time to give me some ideas. Then I went to Rona with my friend around late afternoon (Completely hopeless)Samantha, one of the Rona’s staff, helped us alot. She spent time to give us ideas, helped us to pick up each and everything we required including the screws, wood, drill, privacy screens, etc. My friend and I had not touched a drill in our whole entire lives.We told her that we don’t know how to use the drill and she gave us some tips and then she said:” If I can do it, you can do it too.”Here is what my friend and I built on the same day (I attached a picture of a part of my patio) and I am very thankful to Samantha.She is patient, knowledgeable, approachable, and caring. She was amazing when it came to communication, collaboration, reliability, work quality, problem-solving, and timeliness.Hats off to Samantha!Thanks to Rona for hiring staff like her.

I have to change my 4 stars to 1 starI came to Rona for some sink plumbing stuff, anyway I showed the guy what I was looking for. He gave me some supplies and when I went to install it I saw it was too short. Obviously I couldn’t return it so I drove all the way back there and he gave me an extension pipe. I tried to install it and it didn’t fit, it was way too big. I had to cut the pipe which took forever since I didn’t have the proper tools to cut the extension pipe. The cashier was also pretty unhelpful, they were half asleep while doing their job. Bad service here and their prices have gone up so much, home depot, amazon and Canadian tire are WAYY cheaper for the same item!!Busy day today lineup was very long.I came to Rona today because i needed a few things for Christmas and mory was really friendly and he helped me find what I needed. He's always smiling and helping costumersI like this store their prices are pretty reasonable, way cheaper than Canadian Tire. Also pretty friendly & helpful staff.

They dont let you use the washrooms, so you have to cross the street to use a restaurant washroom. When you come back they give you a ticket for leaving their store property if you car is parked there for 3 minutes. Canadian tire has washrooms and they dont ticket you for using the washroom across the street. They also have a security guard with body armor??????!!!! Wth is going on?

I had to talk to five different members of staff all of whom gave me a very rude, unhelpful run around, until one older gentleman politely explained that they did not have the product I was looking for. Disappointed.
