I'm only giving this place 2 stars. The positives are this dog park is unique as it has a few hills, a mini trail that you can walk around and plenty of space for dogs to run.The reason for the low rating is because I was bitten by a medium sized dog here in the fall of 2022. It occurred when we just entered through the gated fence, I had taken the leash off my dog and he went the other way. As I walked down to the main area to be closer to my dog, a lady with 2 dogs were standing still and one of her dogs charged aggressively towards me. I put my arms up to protect my body and the dog took a bite near my elbow. The lady saw this and ran straight for the exit with her dogs. I was in shock from the bite, not believing what just happened and didn't chase after them. That was the last time I took my dog here.

I have had many dogs in my life and since I lived in Richmond Hill for the past 20+ years, I have regularly visited this park since it opened. Never had major issue until recent with an owner who has a 'Giant Schnauzer' ...As I understand he is a puppy but unfortunately extremely aggressive towards my dog who is much smaller. I understand dog play fights, but pinning down and biting the jugular until my dog cries is not a play. The dog has no recall, doesn't answer to his name, too heavy for the owner to be pulled away and continues with the behaviour until I leave the park. This has happened few times, I tried to tell the owner nicely to separate her dog before it escalate but she brushed it off as he is just a puppy. Last time as I'm walking to leave the park, putting leash on my dog, her dog is still aggressively following and biting my dog and ended up nipping my HAND. When I told her about this, she said it's probably because you touched my dog, don't touch my dog. Her responses and lack of care is worst than the dog behaviour itself. This dog would not be roaming the park if it was my child hand that got bitten. It's so unfortunate when some dog owners don't understand dog park rules, don't take any responsibilities, don't understand dog body language and make the whole experience unpleasant for others.I have eyes on my dog the whole time. When there is an aggressive chase, pinning down and obvious sign of dislike from the other dog, CONTROL the situation. When you see the owner calls their dog and your dog is still chasing and going full speed biting towards the other owner, CONTROL your dog. Your dog can be the sweetest thing but always expect the worst case scenario...they are animals. They don't figure it out. If they did, you would just drop them at the park and pick them up 3 hours later. I probably will not go here anymore. The park is dirty and filled with garbage and waste bags.

This dog park is quite large. The dogs seem to have a ton of fun chasing each other around, especially because it's so hilly. Lots of bushes and trees for dogs to hide and run through. Best dog park in the area.

To dog owners: be careful of the mulch!! Some of them can be large in size and sharp at both ends. Today my dog got injured with a wood chip into his paw when running and bleed…

There was a lady with a black/white dog who was pinning down my dog and biting. I was trying to separate them. Then the lady came over and told me that my dog belongs to the small dog area under 20 lbs.She also said that I will not constantly call my dog off for small dogs. You should go to small dog area."After confirming the rule (12 lbs and under for small dogs)

Separate small area for small pets (12 pounds and less). Larger are has some seating, trees, etc. Good place for off lease activities. Be careful there are some aggressive dogs that go here and it can get very busy.

We came here for a Scout's Canada BBQ and ceremony. It was a great place to meet up and with a big group.

We’ve had a couple of bad experiences recently. Most dogs are friendly but a few have been aggressive, especially one in particular. A few people warned me about this aggressive dog and to keep an eye on her if she comes near my dog. The owner does not try to stop or control her dog. Twice now this dog bit mine, the owner didn’t do a thing, no command to stop, nothing. Even when I firmly said “no” to her dog to stop she just stood there like nothing happened. Unfortunately this dog is there on a regular basis.
