She always takes the time to listen to my concerns and has developed a great treatment plan.I appreciate her expertise and the care she provides during my appointments. I highly recommend Carol Lau to anyone seeking exceptional audiology services.

It is a five star clinic, the staff are friendly and very knowledgeable, My wife just got her first hearing aids and is pleased with them. She liked the personal attention of the owner Carol and the other staff members. I took my wife to this clinic because I have been dealing with them for 10 years with my own hearing aids. I trust them and I have always felt at home with the staff and owner. I would recommend them to anyone.

I having been seeing Carol Lau for about 5 years now. The only relief I got for my tinnitus was with the white noise generators that are in the hearing aids. I also had hyperaccusis and this was successfully treated by Carol. I find Carol highly knowledgeable and very professional. This is a very busy clinic, and can take months to get in to see her. The hearing aids are expensive, but, Carol will follow you for years without any extra charge. Would highly recommend this clinic!!

First of all, any reviews left that are 1 star without an explanation do not count. No person or company can improve without feedback.I have been in Carol's care for almost 5 years. When I started seeing her I had been dealing with tinnitus and the associated hyperacusis for most of my life. The tinnitus and hyperacusis were so severe that my life was affected in so many ways. I was on the verge of losing my marriage. What did Carol do for me? She enabled me to go on trips (yes flying in an airplane), watch TV and enjoy life in general. Was it an easy path? No. I thoroughly hated my hearing aids in the first 12 months. Now I cannot imagine live without them. Thank you Carol.

I just decided to write a rating for the Sound Idears Office, because after another solved problem I feel the gratitude I have for Carol Lau and her awesome team anew. I have been dealing with them for about 11 years now and have only had very positive experiences. My atypical case is complicated with severe hearing loss, tinnitus and hyperacusis. Despite my initial strong resistance to the hearing aids prescribed (I just don’t like “the feel” in my ears and get irritated), her knowledge, skill, compassion and patience with me should get Carol a medal! She has worked so hard to find the right solutions for my issues, has helped me to be able to afford them, continuously encouraged me to stick with the program” when I didn’t

Be very very careful about trusting them if you have hyperacusis. They'll gladly take the money, they'll push as many products as they can on you, but will leave you in the dust if anything goes wrong. Now my condition is worse and they won't respond. It was their device that caused the damage and their lack of interest to act when I reported the incident. They were who I had to see via a worksafe claim and never gave any warning when their treatment would stop. They never clearly outlined what they wouldn't do or would stop doing up until any point, I had been assured I wouldn't be left without assistance for my devices down the road. Despite that I was left injured and without any support or assistance. They insist on blaming Worksafe here but the failure in communication is on their part. It's their treatment plan. Absolutely demand other options, as the treatment itself can be effective, but don't trust yourself in their hands. If you aren't lucky enough to recover quickly you will be left to suffer without any help down the road.

Sound this was a bad idearsResponse. You stopped offering assistance and responding to correspondence unless I keep your overpriced device which I explained made things worse. I may have gotten a refund but what about the worsening they caused my condition? What will compensate for that? In spite of my telling you this you wrote in your assessment that I did not give it a chance. Seriously? What am I suppose to wait for until my head screams at all times?? I have to say the best snake oil" moment was when you told me to listen to ocean sounds on the app you suggested vs other apps. Ocean sounds are ocean sounds white noise is white noise chime sounds are chime sounds. According to the feedback I see im not the only one who feels this way."

Sound Idears are a first class organization. I have been a customer for many years. They are primarily concerned with what is best for you as a client and not some much with how much money they can make off you. As my hearing deteriorated, Carol suggested a pair of UNITRON Bluetooth aids. They are fantastic and have made a huge difference to my social life. They gave me a super deal on the price also. I cannot say enough about the professionalism of all the staff.

Dr. Lau and the entire staff at Sound id-Ears provided exceptional service to my hearing-impaired mother recently, service that was thorough, compassionate, and highly customized to my mother's needs. Dr. Lau was able to quickly pinpoint the exact nature of my mother's hearing loss by listening carefully to her story and by applying her extensive knowledge of hearing loss and the related nuances of noise sensitivity. Aware that cost was an issue, she came up with a hearing aid that was well within our budget and yet sophisticated enough to include settings that would be helpful in a range of hearing environments. We are also very grateful for the kind followup she provides and the assistance that her staff provide with the technical aspects of the hearing aid system. We highly recommend this clinic!

Carol Lau is a highly specialized audiologist that was able to provide me with relief of my tinnitus and hyperacusis. I had suffered with tinnitus for over ten years and was initially told by my ENT that it would go away after three months. I had a severe episode of tinnitus two years ago and was unable to sleep for a month. I was directed to Carol through the St. Paul's Hospital Tinnitus Clinic as I was unable to find a knowledgable specialist in Victoria where I live. The hearing devises with the masking and brain training programs provided me with instant relief. I was a professional musician and it was quite important to me to find the appropriate treatment from a highly qualified practitioner and Carol met these needs with her knowledge and experience. We worked together for a year and a half as it takes time and patience to retrain a brain afflicted with tinnitus. The hyperacusis was allievated quite early in my treatment and I was able to regain my quality of life without being afraid to expose myself to loud noises. I am very grateful to Carol Lau for all her help and I am no longer aware of my tinnitus. I highly recommend Carol for any tinnitus or hyperacusis problems. She is very dedicated to her patients and her knowledge and skills are rare. I know first hand now that there is relief for tinnitus despite the many times I was told there was nothing that could be done.
