Dr Germano is a great physician. You never feel rushed and he always listens to your concerns and ensures the appropriate care and testing is given to figure out your medical needs. I am glad that my children and I switched to his office. He is knowledgeable and has great bedside manners and humour to make you feel welcomed and comfortable. His receptionist, Heila is fantastic as well. Always smiling and ensures you aren’t waiting long in the waiting room. Great office!

Mark has refused to do necessary, physical exams for any female patients younger than him. I get that he's trying to avoid difficult situations, but this is not how a doctor should do this (in my opinion). My advice: let your female patients bring a witness, as well as yourself, when performing physical exams for female patients of any age.Other than that, you're a good doctor. Please get the necessary advice and adjust your practice to reflect what your female patients need, while also doing what you need to protect your practice.

Following our complaint, dr. Germano’s secretary called my wife and made another appointment for today. I was honestly happy considering the last incident as being an isolated one and hoping that my wife could continue having a family doctor to provide for her health care needs. However, after 10 minutes of my wife being inside with dr. Germano, the latter called me in. When I got in the consultation room, the spirits were already very agitated. Looking back, I am not 100% sure, but it did seem to me that the only reason for dr. Germano to call my wife in for this appointment was to argue my complaint which I posted on Google yesterday. At this point, I do not understand why my wife was not told upfront that this appointment would only be for discussing the complaint and not for discussing her health concerns.I cannot be sure as to what was discussed before me being invited in, but once I got in I could see that dr. Germano personally took offence because of our complaint put on Google and he was very vocal about it. He did loose his temper and raised his voice so my wife had to tell him to not raise his voice. He did mention that he felt that we have stabbed him in the back and that we should have spoken with him before making the complaint. Following that, he calmed down but not enough to defuse the situation. He kept going on and on that he couldn't guarantee that there will be no waiting time. Moreover, he even implied to my wife, who was already upset because of this useless discussion, that there could be even longer waiting time in the future. Dr. Germano also said several times that my wife could go to another doctor if she couldn’t accept the potential of having to wait unlimited time (15 minutes, 40 minutes, 1 hour and so on) even when she has an appointment.During the vehement conversation, I tried to change the focus from the discussion but I had not success.Bottom line, to summarize, for the first appointment, we did have to wait 40 minutes after the appointment time and my wife didn’t get to see the doctor for her medical needs. Once we placed the complaint, dr. Germano called both of us in for arguing about the complaint. He didn’t try, during all this conversation, to calm things down. In my opinion, he could have told us that he was sorry about the incident the other day and that he will try his best to avoid this in the future. Following that, he could have basically asked my wife how was she feeling, about the reason for her wanting to see him and about her health concerns (to read her last blood test, to see what medication doesn’t match what dr. Germano had on file – we have received a call from the office about this, to discuss the side effects of the current medication). But this obviously did not happen. So, I am very sad to say that I consider this situation being very poorly handled by dr. Germano, who did not take into consideration the fact that my wife didn’t feel well at all while he was vehemently arguing with her about the complaint. Instead of getting over this issue, dr. Germano made us feel like we were in a Court Room and he was the Judge. My wife was very affected by this argument and she cried on our way home and she is still crying because of these incidents.I would like to mention that, due to her health issues, my wife went to a lot of specialists many times, not only once, such as rheumatologist, dermatologist, gynecologist, and she never had to wait for so long for any of them. Finally, from what dr. Germano said, it seems that what happened yesterday was actually his secretary’s fault because of overbooking patients.Unfortunately, we seem to not have luck with family doctors so we may need to start going to the walk-in clinics for getting the basic care we, and especially my wife, will need.

Dr. Germano has been such a refreshing change from my old family doctor. Wait times are a very decent. I used to have to wait for anywhere from 2-5 hours in the waiting room after my appointment time to see my old doctor and with Dr. Germano I am always in right around my appointment time. He takes the time to listen to what I have to say and likes to be thorough in his evaluation rather than a take this and go approach. The receptionist is very welcoming and friendly and always greets me with a smile on her face. They do their best to try and get you in as quickly as possible if you have a more urgent issue to be attended to but careful not to overbook and cause wait times for others. Overall great experiences.

Excellent listener, which is number 1 in my book. Very caring about your health concerns and needs. Never rushes you out of his office. Takes the time to explain your condition and offers different treatments.Never judges you if you question the treatment.Things have really improved on answering the phone and setting up appointments since they hired a new receptionist. I'm extremely satisfied.

Dr. Germano is a good doctor. However, his receptionist is awful. I had an appointment at 9:30am and drove in from Guelph only to be told she’s been trying to call me but they must have an old number on file. Dr. Germano wasn’t at the clinic and she said I could come back at 3pm. I explained they did not work for me and that I needed to see a doctor straight away as I have strep throat and can barely swallow (feels like swallowing glass). I had already waiting a few days to get in to see him. I asked her if, because Dr. Germano was not in as scheduled (again I had a scheduled appointment with him but and they couldn’t reach me to alert me to change it), could I please see another doctor at the clinic. She would not even ask if they would see me, and told me they have their own patients, and also that Dr. Germano is no longer a part of the team. I told her if another doctor could not see me, that I would go to a walk-in clinic as I am in excruciating pain and need antibiotics. She proceeded to tell me that as Dr. germano’s patient I am not permitted to go to a walk-in clinic. She had absolutely no sympathy and instead of helping me, argued with me and made the situation out to be my fault. I am in the business of helping people, and when I go to my family doctor for a previously scheduled appointment, I expect to be treated with respect and care. I told the receptionist I would call later that afternoon to speak to Dr. Germano myself and she told me he doesn’t speak to patients over the phone. Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had at a family doctor’s office.

I’ve called a million times and this place NEVER answers. I’m lucky enough to have been able to switch most of my family to a different (and amazing) new doctor who actually has receptionists who answer phone calls and reach back, as well as treat the patients politely, something this office lacks. I could go on, but also the doctor himself is another one who is quite rude, makes sense as to why the rest of his staff are the same way. Thanks for wasting a lot of my families time. 0/10 highly not recommended.

This is the worst clinic. I called every day for a week, left voicemails and sent messages through their virtual app regarding my sons first set of vaccinations and no response. I continued to call and then their mailbox was full so I could not even leave another message. My son is now 4 months and I had to move his care to another clinic to get him immunized in time. Terrible practice, they should be embarrassed.

I like Dr. Germano; he's a greenhorn but is a good guy. However, I don't like Delta Family Health's policy of one appointment
