Yopo Sweet Mandarin
Visited for lunch, it is a very small space but worked out for 2 of us. We ordered wonton soup, soup pork dumplings, and the house chowmein (huge portion). Our food was piping hot, fresh & delicious. Will return!

This AMAZING take-out Chinese restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, and super authentic Chinese food. It's hard to find restaurants that are able to encapsulate the Chinese culture and taste so well into their food.I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again and again. <33333

A cozy gem in Yaletown serving delicious Chinese food. Their salt and pepper pork ribs were amazing, and the owners are such lovely people!

Got the house chow mein - was expecting the cantonese version not a stir fry. A little annoyed it didnt specify online, but it’s fine. The noodles were good, and had great portions. Taste was a little on the light side, but not bad. Willing to give another try.

Ahhhh sweet mandarin <3I was DEVASTATED when this place closed on Davie street years ago but when I found out they opened again and I could get crispy chili ginger chicken again I was SO EXCITED!!The veggie fried rice is packed with veggies and flavour. It’s definitely my favourite Chinese place to get take away from! A must try :)UPDATE: ordered from them tonight and again it was just amazing! I recommend the beef and broccoli black bean ( beef was so tender and the broccoli was delicious!) and the corn and chicken soup. Such a great comfort food! Thank you again, you are the best!!! Also delivery was super hot when arrived and was quick :)

Food with integrity – The owners of Sweet Mandarin took over from Yopo and closed for over a year waiting for a new business license (!) The new chef Rickie is a perfectionist. Mandy at the till told me that he is extremely particular about using all the best ingredients, insisting that those who can tell the difference will be able to tell the distinguished taste. Case in point, my friend usually don't take any spices, but had been looking for really good curry powder without success. After ditching all the curry powders, she tasted the Singapore vermicelli and I've never seen her eat so much food at one lunch. It was a truly amazing feat for Rickie to make the mixed vegetable and noodle dishes that coaxed my fried to eat so much. Well, chef Rickie's commitment to quality ingredients explains why the Sweet Mandarin menu pricing is now higher than Yopo. But nowadays, it is still less pricy and more healthy than sushi take out! So far, I've tried beef and broccoli and braised tofu with vegetables. I was impressed with the variety of vegetables used in the Braised tofu dish – more like a vegetarian feast version. Their stir-fry is not as greasy as the Grand Chinese on the next street. I definitely prefer their Singapore vermicelli, the noodles are thicker, more firm, and does not break up easily. I tried the house-made traditional BBQ duck, it is served boneless – LOTS of duck meat – too much meat for just me. The mixed vegetable dish is going to be my regular item. The deep fried chicken wings appetizer I used to order is now double the price, and aaarg – didn't like the fact that it is tossed in onions and chilly – I prefer the previous version. I find Mandy very friendly and accommodating and courteous. I titled this place food with integrity because of Ricky. And seems like each time I tried a new dish, I am more impressed. I'm happy that have re-opened.

Omg! It is like real traditional Chinese food made by a Chinese family. It is a small door. They have only 2 tables for 4 each, but they are super busy with pickup order and food delivery companies. We ordered 4 plates and we had leftovers for 2 meals more.
