Highland Arts Theatre
We are in Sydney for the weekend and just happened upon this theatre. Luckily, they had a few seats left for this evenings performance if Cabaret. It was absolutely wonderful. We have been to plays on Broadway and several cities in the world and thoroughly enjoyed this. Not one weakness in it.

Lovely small venue. Fantastic sound and lighting. Acoustics are great and non mic'd voices carry very well to back of the auditorium. Concession stand had alcohol for reasonable price. Will definitely be coming for another show.

This is a great location in Sydney for theatre performances but also film screenings!My sister did a screening of her film, In The Waves" here and it was a great success.Fair prices

A very intimate theatre with good sound. Everyone is close to The stage whether on the main floor or balcony. Excellent use for an old church. Hope to hear the pipe organ play. We were there for the first Cape Trad Concert.

Amazing performance of Cabaret!!! The energy was great, the set was top notch, each performer executed their parts wonderfully !! My 1st time at the HAT. I have just moved back to Cape Breton after 33 yrs. , and am so excited this theatre is here for the community to enjoy, and if this is any indication of performances at this theatre , well, I can’t wait to see the next show!! Bravo to the whole cast and crew

Highland Arts Theatre
I went to see Mary Poppins Jr, with it being one of my first forays into local theatre and I was absolutely floored by the overall quality of the work. The venue is absolutely beautiful and unique, and the talent made me incredibly proud to be a Cape Bretoner. The HAT is an incredible gem!
