Monique is the best hair expert I’ve ever had. She is knowledgeable, caring, personable, and passionate about goals and changing the way we view not just hair health, but overall health. I’d been searching for a non-toxic hair dresser for a long time, and she’s so much more than that. She’s a coach with the long term in mind. She has amazing up-to-date resources extending beyond the appointment visit, and her quality of products and services is second to none.

Monique always makes my hair look and feel amazing. She is so well educated and gives great at home tips and care. She truly takes your hair experience to the next level! Any hair goal I may have she always helps me reach it and keeps my hair healthy in the process. Can't recommend her enough!!

Monique is the most thorough and educated hair stylist I’ve ever been to. She has an amazing eye for detail and style and really takes the time for you. She also uses high quality, low/non-toxin hair products which is very important to me. She is simply the best!

Monique is truly magical in every way! After a battle with a well known curly hair brand, my hair was left dull and lifeless. Monique explained the need of clarification and which products I should consider that would also save me money! She answered all my questions and educated me on everything I needed to know about my hair journey. Monique asked for my consent before she began with my curly hair cut as they don't always translate into straight styles. Previous stylists have always just gone for it and I've often left unhappy. Not with Monique! I left incredibly happy and have been raving about her services for months! She truly is a hair coach and not just someone who cuts/styles hair. She is in it for the long haul with each and every one of her clients. I could go on and on about how magical the salon experience is with her but I urge you to try it out for yourself!

I got my hair cut much shorter than I was used to, putting complete trust in Monique. The first week I had it I missed my long hair (even though she did exactly what I asked her to). I was so excited to grow it out again, but then literally the next day and still even 3 months after I got it cut people were telling me how much they loved my hair. Some people were complete strangers too and they said the shape looked so good on me. I’m contemplating my “comfortable” hair length because I have never gotten as many compliments as I have with my recent haircut at Vocare. Highly recommend!!!

I discovered Vocare through an edition of Know Magazine a couple years back. I was desperate to find a new stylist, as I'm a licensed stylist myself. I went in for a consult feeling anxious, but came out feeling confident in the hair goals we discussed for myself! Every appointment is a dream, as I'm always so relaxed and calm. Monique is very knowledgable and professional in what she does, and I love her dedication to providing low, or non-toxic products...I've definitely jumped on that bandwagon! I'm proud to be Botanical Babe! You won't be disappointed with a visit to Vocare Hair Studio!

Monique is amazing! I came in with a literal hair 911 feeling absolutely discouraged, ugly, and unfix-able. She worked her magic and I walked out feeling like I had gorgeous hair! I get constant compliments on my cut and color now! She is so talented, knowledgeable, and of course a great person to spend time in the chair with. Always so welcoming and engaging ! Update 2019: I recently booked online and went in a couple of weeks ago. I needed a new look and Monique did not disappoint. My Asian hair was long, frizzy, curly and unmanageable. I go to her because she's the only stylist I know who can cut my curly hair the way I want it. I also wear my hair straight, just because its low maintenance. Monique is fun to talk to,and very knowledgeable about many topics. You can basically talk to her about almost anything. I didn't get bored at all. So after she blow-dried my hair and did her tricks, oh boy, I loved my bangs and the way my hair falls. I'm absolutely having fun wearing the new look!!! And I'm taking good care of my hair now. I'll be back again soon and I highly recommend her!This 900 sq ft. salon is a gem in Okotoks. Monique is such a talented stylist. This girl knows her stuff. Unlike the other salons around Calgary, the hair products she used to her clients arent mainstream. She uses products that arent just effective but also not too harsh for the hair and health. And her haircut, is soo pretty and this girl is getting better and better every single time!! I highly recommend this salon!!
