Very happy with the results in regards to my case (domestic assault/mischief). So happy that I didn't plead guilty (which would have resulted in a criminal record), and they were able to negoatiate a resolution that lead to charges being withdrawn and no criminal record, provided I complete counselling and some other requirements.Fees are maybe a little on the high end, but in the end worth it considering the outcome. They were more than willing to work out a payment plan over 12 months.Very professional, willing to work with you any time of the day, so all in all I would highly reccomend.

If you have been accused of a DUI, DWI, or whatever they are calling it these days, and you have plenty of evidence to dispute the fact, do not hire this lawyer.I do not drink and drive; at least not to the point where I am over the legal limit.Despite this, I was stopped by police after drinking only two beer three hours after the fact and charged with what I was told, at the time, was a crime. I was extremely disoriented and handcuffed and bodily mishandled. I had no idea what was happening at the time and had no memory of anything that had happened to me prior to that point during the entire day. In fact, I initially believed I was simply having a dream. I had no memory of where I had been, what was happening, and I was having a major malfunction of all my motor functions on the left side of my body. The entire episode was extremely confusing, considering I am not that type of person.Several days later, it was later suggested to me that, based on all my symptoms, I may have actually suffered a mini-stroke; what is apparently known as a TIA. After hearing about this, I went to my local hospital to have a CAT scan done on me. I explained what had happened to the emergency room doctor and he took some notes. Initially, he told me he did not think I had a stroke but that I may have had a seizure. I am not sure what his reasoning was for saying this but it did give me some assurance as I really did not want to be diagnosed with a stroke. From what I have come to understand, such things bode very poorly for future prospects.Much to my surprise, the doctor came back and told me that I had, indeed, had a stroke. They called it a 'lacunar infarct'. This is apparently a type of TIA. It is also a malady that begins to heal after 2 to 4 weeks, so it is very time sensitive. On one hand, I was grateful that there was clinical evidence that absolved me of my horrific incident the night I was stopped by police, but at the same time it terrified me in that it meant I could be suffering another life threatening or crippling stroke to follow the one I had already experienced.I hired Richard Aitken because, at the time, his website had an abundance of cases of DUIs that led one to believe he had won them all. Later, I realized these were cases that were won by other lawyers and that he had not won any of them. Apparently they were cases that had been won in other provinces or countries. But that is another matter for now. When I told Mr. Aitken of my stroke, he assured me he could help me, due to the medical crisis I had experienced. Yet, during my entire time with him, he would not submit the medical evidence I had. For some bizarre reason, he said he did not feel comfortable submitting it to the Crown. I kept pressing him, as our initial consultation revolved around my medical evidence. For some reason, he simply flat out refused to do it. As the months went by, I began to feel more and more like my own lawyer was working for the Crown and the police, and not me. When I pressed him to submit the evidence, he simply quit after about 10 months of inactivity.Initially, I was assigned a lawyer in his firm named Philip Stiles who was going to handle my case. I gave Mr. Stiles my evidence and he said that it would definitely help my case. Shortly after this, however, Richard Aitken took over my file, which I thought was because the case was so obviously a 'slam dunk' that he wanted the fame for winning it himself. Much to my surprise, though, he wanted nothing more than to stifle the evidence.When I asked the lawyer what had been said to the Crown on my behalf I was not even allowed to know. Even though I had paid thousands of dollars, that was kept from me.Either this lawyer is the most incompetent barrister I have ever met, or he is the most deceitful. I am not sure which is worse.

If I could give a zero I would.12 years ago this place just ruined my life.Whoever owns it was a disgusting man who did not seem to care or listen to what I said.I was, very unfortunately, told I should go here to talk so I could drive and work. I told them I believed I was guilty and would like to plead. The old man convinced me I could beat it.Idiotically I bought into it.I never saw that man again.The lawyer I was assigned was doing his VERY first case.When I lost, as I had told them I believed would be the outcome... the prosecutor came and told my lawyer he did a solid job".I never heard from that man again and I dont think the partner ever even looked me in the eye.That cost me 9

Phil Styles was very Professional and Courteous. I would highly recommend this Law firm to anyone who is looking to have some one fight on their behalf without any judgement. He was extremely nice and understanding of the situation and put in his absolute effort to help me. In the end all allegations were dropped and I can’t emphasize how great my whole experience was. When I spoke to Richard he assured me that I had a very good chance so I retained Aitken Robertson. I thought he was going to represent me but I ended up having to talk to Virginia who was just very condescending and her concern was very superficial. My case was pushed off to 2 paralegals without my knowledge and I was to communicate with just them. In the end she wanted me to pled guilty. I spent thousands of dollars when I would have had the same outcome if I had done it on my own.Overall a very disturbing experience on a very serious matter and I would not recommend them.And the second they get the money good getting any help.

I strongly recommend Mr. Tarinpal Dhaliwal, who’s not only a great Lawyer but great human being takes care of you. Even though I was charged by an Off Duty Police officer with false allegations but he got me out of it. Highly recommend Mr. Dhaliwal, we went to trial and I was acquitted of both charges (impaired and over 80), had my breath test thrown out as well (160), Mr Dhaliwal and I had multiple in person meetings to talk over and review my case as well as on the phone, he made sure that I wasn’t confused on any part of my case, really showed that he cares about his job and the cases he works with, before we went to trial we did a mock up of the trail as he would act as the crown attorney and ask me questions similar to what was in the ball park of the questions asked by the crown, I felt confident that he had my back going to trial, I almost feel like Mr. Dhaliwal was too prepared he blew the crown out of the water with our defence. Definitely going to be recommending all my buddies if they ever get into some trouble.
