We were on a family trip to Niagara Falls from the US when our car broke down a few blocks from Westown. We called and even though they were very busy, the owner and a mechanic hopped in their car and came to help us within 5 minutes. They fixed our car quickly so that we could get back on the road and the price was so reasonable. They were amazing! So kind and did a great job. Would 1,000% recommend.

Exemplary service! They completely understood my concern for my vehicle. They were quite busy but would check my car out and let me know what was needed. I left my vehicle figuring it would be fixed Monday. It was a fairly big job...They called the next day, Friday. My car was repaired and their driver would pick me up!! I was so pleased. To top it off, their pricing was ¼ of what I was quoted from the dealership which made me very very happy. They won me over with their caring concerned attitude and have a new regular customer. I’ve brought my vehicle here for various issues, and they are always so kind and professional. they are honest and never overcharge unlike other places that upsell products and services. They have given me a honest opinion on what they think should be replaced vs repaired. I will definitely spread the word. I have been going to Westown Auto for over 20 years. Ever since the first time on a Saturday when they were closed and I had a flat tire which they fixed for me, gratis. I was going from Toronto to Brantford, to pick up my son, on the way back, I had the issue. Since then, they have always been fair and treated me, like one of the family.Gus was an amazing man, Vince and Peter have kept their father's business and have continued in his honest and friendly tradition. I only have to tell them what is wrong and they can diagnose the problem by my description. Excellent shop, would highly recommend them to anyone

Recently had my oil changed and brake fluid flushed at Westown. Peter was able to fit me in that week and quoted me on other work I had requested. Together we have come up with a service plan that fits my budget. Their building is very clean and professional looking. Happy that I have found a neighbourhood shop that I can trust.

I've been a customer for about 2 years at Westown Auto, by far the best automotive shop in Hamilton.

We brought our car in to prepare it for sale. Westtown originally said they could do the repair to the instrument cluster in a few days. We took it in. After a few days, they told us it would be 8 weeks. Then after a week they told us that they couldn't do it at all. To top it all off, they charged us $200+ for taking the instrument cluster out, not repairing it and then putting it back in. I would not take my car to Westtown again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. Just terrible.

They were very honest with me about the particular needs my car had, and the costs involved. However, what really stood out for me was that the service technician I dealt with -- Peter, one of the owners! -- made a personal stop at my home to let me know he was going to send me photos so we could discuss the issue and the costs involved (my phone number was wrong in their system and they could not reach me). There was no pressure, and no regrets that I decided the service was too expensive for the age and condition of my car. That was all above and beyond"!!!"

Fantastic family owned business. Always there to give great service, weather its brakes, exhaust or engine issues. They don't price gouge and look for the best prices on parts. Highly recommend .
