Communication is terrible here and rude. My sister paid and adopted a kitten here and she still has not received him. They keep telling her one thing and doing another, constantly. Just be honest and consistent - why with all the miscommunication?? If it was me I would go somewhere else.

I absolutely recommend adopting from HCW! I have adopted 2 cats from them, and both were great experiences. They are very friendly people, and you can tell they really care about giving these cats forever homes. My first cats adoption was a breeze, and he’s been my best for for almost 3 years now! With my second cat, I initially fostered her because she had not been spayed yet, therefore it was too soon to adopt. I filled out both foster and adoption forms when I first picked her up, as well as paid the adoption fee. The foster process was great! After contacting them about a concern a couple days into fostering, they were able to get me meds for her. They were very detailed and had great communication about spay/neuter day & times. They also reached out every once in awhile to check in on Marley. I only have ever had one mishap, and it was after Marley was spayed, my adoption didn’t get finalized. After a simple message to them, asking for her information & paperwork, they were quick to correct the mistake and I was promptly emailed all her papers! Marley has been living a happy & healthy life with us for a couple months now! Could not recommend them enough!! They have so many kitties to home but still manage to keep compassion and kindness first, among all else. Pictured is Loki (gray) and Marley (torti).

This place has educated me in an endless amount of ways about cat rescue. Diane has so much on her plate but no matter what, if someone needs help she does everything she can to help. The cats of west Michigan would be so lost without the dedication of her and everyone at Heaven Can Wait ♥️

We adopted our cat, Elain here a little over a year ago & we just love her so much! She is the sweetest kitty and Heaven Can Wait was super great to work with. I would absolutely recommend this shelter to anyone!

Very dishonest and rude lady named Diane. Terrible miscommunication or should I say lies. Changed her answers to my questions multiple times. I do not trust or recommend after how I was treated.

They are so helpful! A volunteer took my cat to get spayed and brought them back home for me ❤️
