The guy there is not friendly he picked a bottle from the trash can and offered to give me water on it I couldn't believe it I wouldn't go there

Follow the rules, treat others respectfully. Food is good, warm place to sleep, can shower, but no laundry, staff are very nice and friendly. Sign in at 4pm, check out 8am.

Yikes... I just recently had an opportunity as a bistander to witness the new 'client'/ Braxton's admissions experience, as well as a direct window looking in on Mission Services' day-to-day operations at 459 York st. Troubled is an understatement when describing how I was left feeling.What is very clear is that the staff are being neglected in their training. The motivations of individual staff are blatantly incongruent with the Mission, Vision and Values of the organization. As a a former United Way employee and with The Men's Mission being an annual funded agency, food and shelter were indisputedly considered a basic human right.I understood and admired The Mission's goal to immediately aid the marginalized with providing access to safe housing and a noutritious diet, while also actively providing vauĺble learning in order to allow those in need to focus on aquiring the tools to:a). Help prevent the need for emergency housing in the future.b). Empower themselves to identify and secure stable housing.c). Maintain housing for a long time.There needs to be a refocus on the above, and less focus on:1. There is seemingly an affinity toward those staff in positions of power to selectively adhere to rules and regulations based on personal feelings and opinions of individual clients. Staff are unprofessionaly allowing their personal feelings to dictate expectations of certain clients. Often unfairly attempting to restrict previously granted freedoms.2. Certain staff are comfortable exhibiting employement burnout and a jaded attitude. Their attitudes and actions are focused on reactive punishment and immediate reprocussions with a more unhealthy, vengence focused goal- when a proactive attitude and promoting education/teaching opportunities should be the focus.3. There seems to be a blind eye/ intentional ignorance and acceptance of some staff's absolutely innapropriate romantic involvement with clients.As donor in the past, I was considering making a specific undesignated gift directly to Mission Services. Until the poison atmosphere I experienced is addressed, I'll be giving to the United Way General Fund.

Needs to be cleaned around the outside other then that it was nice
