Just back home after 10 days in PEIand had dinner here our last evening. Sooooo wonderful!!! Good selection of wines, very friendly staff and nice atmosphere. But the star of the experience was the food. Tartar with finely chopped red onion, capers and ? parsley. Served with covered wagon potato chips. My main was beef and home made gnocchi, cooked to perfection and in a sauce that was otherworldly!! In a very good way. My partner had the schnitzel, with a slaw. Also had rhubarb trifle, and coffee. Can't say enough about how good this meal was.

A Gem of a Spot in a beautiful part of PEI, the food is delicious, well prepared and you can tell a lot heart goes into each plate! New aged food at its finest! Highly recommended for foodie or even the average joe! Even had a sweet little market of handmade goods downstairs! Well done Chef.

Tartare was incredible, as was the rhubarb trifle. Chef came out to offer something off menu for my young kids and gave them juice boxes (which I don't even think they charged me for now that I think of it lol). Nice personal touch from the Chef and my kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Didn't expect food like that in backroads PEI!

What a lovely evening with great food and wine. Visiting from Alberta and Saskatchewan me and my friends thought the food was fantastic. The best lobster roll ever. Thanks Alex for sharing your talents with us and to you Meg for making sure we were looked after.

Fantastic- just go and get the family style meal- relax and let it unfold. You’re in good hands- especially if you aren’t looking for another fried seafood meal. Excellent!

Amazing place with an upscale casual vibe and some of the best food around. Chef Alex has differentiated his menu from the typical island fare: come here, place your faith in his hands, and be prepared for a mind blowing culinary experience. We had the pleasure of chatting with the chef after dinner and discovered how our paths crossed in Ottawa and St John’s. Tip: the family-style chefs menu is an amazing value and should be your go-to. If you are anywhere in this area do not miss a chance to stop by. Just a really fun, welcoming, and delicious spot.

Upscale food, with an inviting atmosphere. Cannot recommend enough! I came while visiting with family, and was blown away by high quality and presentation of local ingredients. Loved fresh twists on classic PEI favourites. Award winning chefs/owners were absolutely lovely and incredibly personable when they came out to speak to each table, and I will be booking again ASAP!

Our delicious meal, skillfully prepared by Chef Alex@northshorecanteen! We enjoyed tender homemade gnocchi, perfectly executed Schnitzel, Blue Dot Steak...Lobster... a must try!
