February 2023 updates:Vancouver Island roll was a bit fishy!!Crazy Boy Roll 6/10Yummy Yummy roll 7/10Kimchi fried rice is still 10/10Sashimi salad 10/10-----------------------------------Same as always, ordered vancouver island roll which is my favourite, 10/10Salmon oshi 10/10Scallop Tattaki roll 10/10Deep fried oyster 9/10Love this place, friendly staff, good service.Only thing is the tead which they are serving has no taste, more like warm water.

The sushi was very tasty, about average for the region. Prices were great, good value for the amount. Service is relaxed so it's not always a quick meal. Close to the train station and very walkable to get to.

Great place to get a mix of Asian food: they offer items from sushi to Korean food to ramen. Appetizers etc. It is a good menu but unfortunately maybe an increase in food costs leads to a decrease in food quality. I found that sushi and nirigi wasn't what it used to be.The chopped scallop is obliterated into tiny pieces so that the taste and texture didn't come through. Unagi tastes soft like wholesale or tnt packaged BBQ unagi. Even the house roll had a tiny smear of mushy tuna instead of a healthy strip of tuna. The fresh fish taste and texture and mouth feel wasn't there for the sushi and nirigi.The aburi has a sweeter onion dressing. Overall of the menu items... I would maybe consider buying aburi here. Pictured in takeout are aburi rolls which have better flavours and textures. Still on soft side.The udon was odd choice or brand of udon. It tastes like the cheaper yellowish udon from the grocery store packed and sold at room temperature. Not bouncy or clear that usually is used for yaki udon.

I've found quite a lot of great food spots lately, this is one of them! SOLID 4.6 Stars!! -0.4 on a bit high price.Food tastes good, fresh and great looking as well. I'll definitely stop by again!!!

Very good menu selection. Sort of a Korean-Japanese fusion. Food quality is good. Portion size is appropriate, and presentation is attractive, if not overly artistic. Service is friendly. Comfortable dining area. Prices are very reasonable. It's become our go-to sushi restaurant. I think they recently did a minor renovation and the dining area is modernized and quite attractive. It continues to be one of our preferred restaurants.

We just had a late lunch here around 4pm and it was our first time trying this location. We had Spicy Salmon CB, Agedashi Tofu, Yummy Yummy Roll and Creamy Mentaiko Udon.Pros: The portions are good and sashimi tastes really fresh. Ambience is nice as it is quite spacious. It was not busy when we were there so it was pretty quiet.Creamy mentaiko udon is a hit! The dish is on point and i love the garlic chips. The spicy sauce was a bit sweet for my own taste.Cons: the service. At first it was nice as we had a warm welcome, and the lady settled us a table really quickly. Food didn’t take long to be served, which made sense because there were only 3,4 tables. Still, we appreciated quick service because we were starving.However, during our time there, the server only came once to clear some dishes, while usually we would get asked 2-3 times to see if everything is okay. We had to ask for water refill. I totally understand if the place was busy so they couldn’t be attentive to us. But it was not at all. The checking out part was the weirdest. The server made us feel like she was shooing us away. I can understand that if the restaurant was having a long lineup and they needed to clear space up for new customers. Again, it was not busy when we were there.Maybe it was not intentional but that kinda ruined our experience. Still, I hope to visit next time since we enjoy the dishes. Cheers!

I order teriyaki food and my wife teriyaki bento for lunch. The beef taste good and not too sweet and also no fat.Bento teriyaki, the California roll size ok and also recommend.Sushi fisherman roll also recommended, it combined with skin salmon.The Gioza pork, really good too and the skin gioza was thin and bit crispy on the outside skin.Overall good Japan Food.
