Jo-Ann is very body wise - she knows and understands the wisdom of the body and can help others to get in touch with their own wisdom. I had a session of IEMT (integral eye movement therapy) with Jo-Ann and I can see the great potential of this approach in helping people to let go of fears, trauma or negative beliefs that might be holding you back. I have been seeing Jo-Ann D'Alfonso for yoga therapy, for a year and she has given me many useful and effective tools and techniques to deal with and move beyond stress, fatigue, dysfunctional habits, unhelpful and unhappy memories, and physical inflammation and constrictions. Jo-Ann’s wholistic approach is to explore the nub of the issue and then to work creatively to find what will give you. relief. She has made a huge difference in my ability to cope, in my confidence and in my quality of life, and I recommend her highly.

I am so grateful to have discovered Jo-Ann's Wednesday evening yoga class in Farm Point. Her compassionate teaching style really resonates with me. I started yoga therapy with Jo-Ann D'Alfonso years ago, before I had kids and really appreciated her caring, attentive and down to earth attitude. Jo-Ann really took the time to get to know me, which made a world of a difference. I got to learn a lot more to healing than just the physical part of yoga poses. She opened my eyes and my brain to many things such as intention, being in the moment, self-compassion and self-esteem. She has so much experience and is able to adapt each session according to how my symptoms are doing. Her approach makes the healing and yoga therapy experience very relaxing, challenging when needed, while removing any pressure to perform.I stopped my sessions with her for a bit, had two kids and then reached out to Jo-Ann again as I felt that it was time for me to continue my work with her. The progress that I have made with Jo-Ann is really applicable to my day to day life and it is also very helpful to have done yoga therapy prior to starting physiotherapy treatments for vestibular rehabilitation. What I have learned with Jo-Ann is making my experience in vestibular rehabilitation way more concrete, balanced and facilitates the processing of all my symptoms.I would recommend Jo-Ann to anyone who needs a bit of healing and sunshine in their lives in addition to any help you may need processing therapies.
