Today was the first time that I’ve ever bin followed in this store, as I am a native women of colour. I was with my two twin sons, they love coming here but today really changed their perspective on this store by the way we were followed because of our skin colour by the security guard. As soon as we walked in and I felt eyes on me for the first time in a long time in this store, he was denying that he was following us but he kept walking right behind us as we tried to continue our shopping. I felt uncomfortable so I left, my sons kept asking why he was following us, I explained to them for the very first time of how people can be racist towards people of colour. Do better! young children should feel welcomed in any store! They shouldn’t feel scared or unsafe.I also have a clear video of him following us! It shows that clearly he had his eyes on us, I am 100% not coming back to this store ever again, just because we are native does not mean we are stealing! I have two jobs and probably make more than that security guard, today I am teaching my sons to stand up for themselves in situations like that. No one should ever have to experience that as a child.

You have to know your prices, but some very good deals to be found. Different goods every time we go.

Owners and Employees is very polite and kind. They have great price and item each month..

Good deals and nice employees. Good selection of bothwell cheese and yogurts. Had lots go good coffee makers and baby gear. Also lots of things for pot and pets. Lol

The staff were friendly but that's about it. There is nothing special about this place other than one section dedicated to snacks not available in Canada. Other than that the prices were either same or more then other stores.

I've been going here for many years and had amazing experiences BUT the prices have drastically raised since the son took over the store. It's been progressively worse & worse each time. It's a shame because I used to go to his father's Caprice store as a child back in the day too. What a wonderful gentleman the father was. I'm saddened by the inevitable change over & the clear greed on the sons part. Don't waste your time, because it's no longer a proper liquidation center anymore... I can find cheaper prices literally elsewhere. This is Winnipeg, we know our prices! Smarten up!

I have gotten some good deals at G&L just depends on what they have and what your looking for at any given / time clothing food appliances so on

2 stars because though the smaller food items may well be discounted my larger purchase a boardgame i bought there was the same price if not more then other places i could of bought it.
