Did not really want to post a review here but had a terrible experience. Went there for karatein treatment but did not really worked well. So they gave me a retreatment but I'm not satisfied with the results at all. I'm very disappointed. I would say I wasted my time and money both. Would never recommend this place for hair treatment. You might regret. And she tried to make me fool by using the straightning press in the end. So it will look straight when I leave. And I did bought the karatein stylish kit including shampoo and conditioner.

I’ve been going to Crowned beauty since they opened up at their downtown location and I’m so thankful for their business! It’s such a relief to not have to travel to buy curly hair products and get an expert opinion on my hair care needs. Thank you so much for opening this business we truly needed it!

Horrible customer service. It was my first time ever in the store. Let alone buying extensions. Did not feel welcomed. Lady wasn't informative. I felt like a nuisance. Once a regular" came in her attitude changed completely for them. All I wanted was information about extensions

I heard pretty shady things about the place before, but then when a friend went in with a quoted price, she was overcharged by hundreds of dollars. I know this happens to a lot of people, from a lot of places, and each one isn't worth your time. If I go to buy anything, and they quote me a specific price on labor and materials, I expect to get exactly what I pay for.If the price changes for materials, and I've been made to understand the new price, I understand completely and have no problem paying the new price. If the price changes for both the materials and the labor, and I'm only told about the change in price of the materials, I will not pay the extra labor bill at the end.If I go to get work done on my vehicle, and they don't ask me first, and don't make it known what the price will be, there is no absolutely NO way that someone is going to pull the work they've done to my vehicle. To have someone say We can take forever to pull the extensions from your head if you'd rather" when a dispute about the price arises

As a black girl, finding a hair salon that knows how to manage my hair in Grande Prairie wasn’t easy. I am so happy this place was recommended to me. Super clean, relaxing environment, knowledgeable staff. I got my hair (which had a weave in it too) washed, blown out and straightened. I will definitely become a loyal client here. 10/10 recommend!

We have take our daughter who is Ethiopian to get her hair done over the years. They do a great job and are very friendly. The store is well organized and very clean and the salon area is in the back and is very private.

Horrible experience. Got a quote for extensions to be put on. They said $275 as my total cost. I told them I had short hair and they said I should only need 1 pack of hair. I go in to for my appointment and instantly they say oh we very rarely only use one pack". I said that's fine.... Thinking the install and hair would be $275 that the extra hair shouldn't be more than an extra $150. That worked on my hair for 6 and a half hours until my scalp was raw and I get to the til to be told I now owe $800 because it took so long and they denied quoting me at $275. They wouldn't honor their word at all and basically gave me a measly 20 percent off. After trying to dispute it I was told that I had two options.. Pay the rest or have the extensions removed. Not about to spend another 6 and a half hours in that chair. I won't be going back and won't be referring anyone there again."

I've gotten hair here before and the experience was awesome. But it would be nice if they changed their hours online and on their messageachine saying 11-6 but both times I've been here during the week the store is not open with no signage. Disappointed as I only have specific days I can come in and feels like a waste of time coming to the mall and it never being open

Maybe they are counting on the fact that they are booked weeks in advance that it's easy to give attitude to people. It will catch up to them if they continue. No interest at all in paying them to service our needs, even if they were the only place in northern Alberta. I encourage other hair technicians specializing in a broad spectrum of hair types to start competing. There's room for you. I have responded to the invitation to email the experience.... keep you posted
