Lee is a great guide with a ton of experience in the wilderness and on the Margaree. He has a million stories from his experiences which makes for great campfire time. He is a great coach for beginners with lots of patience and encouragement.The landscape was stunning with dramatic, high, steep terrain on each side of the river with occasional flats and beautiful waterfalls! I was never afraid, despite never kayaking on a river before, because it was easy to trust Lee and his system. It was intense at times - especially the first day, but definitely a unique and worthwhile trip! I even got to see a bear cub on the side of the river as we paddled by!

Absolutely loved floating down the Margaree river in tubes! Great experience to share with our 10 and 12 year old daughters. Opt for a paddle if you have kids … their arms aren’t long enough to paddle while lying on the tube. Well organized, friendly staff and great way to experience the Margaree river. Highly recommend.

We stayed here for one night as we made our way around Cape Breton and it was a fantastic experience. Lee is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He had great recommendations for what to do and where to eat. We booked a guided tour on the tandem kayak for the next day after we arrived and it was a great way to learn about the area, take in the sights, and just relax. The tent was clean and cozy and very tastefully setup. There's a fire pit with a grill grate for each tent and pots, pans, bowls, etc. are all provided. We're not big camping people but we found the glamping experience at Live Life In Tents to be great! Beautiful at night as well when you can see all the stars around the fire pit. 5/5 Highly Recommended!

My family and I paddle boarded down the Margaree and also had a guided hike through the old growth forests to rarely seen waterfalls.Both were very enjoyable. Lee and the crew run are friendly and everything went smoothly.The hike was challenging— not for everyone.I’m looking for other adventures with Lee for when I return to Cape Breton

Honestly...these guys are amazing... Beautiful spot with an UNREAL view...the staff are so accommodating an friendly.Quiet time is 11pm but everyone seems to be asleep by then usually... But if you want i keep going they'll let you use the pick ic table In front of their sea can! 5/5 would definitely poop here again!

Fantastic experience. The location is great, right off of the Cabot Trail with access to the local coop and within driving to lots of local attractions as well as Inverness and Chéticamp. On site the amenities were exactly what we needed - outdoor showers, composting toilets and a central shaded space on site. We stayed here slightly off season (end of May, beginning of June) and really enjoyed being here during this time. Well maintained, friendly people and the opportunity to engage in activities in the wild. Be sure to check out the food truck on site: Fish Our of Water.
