Mosaic African Foods (Filad Enterprises)

Always my go-to Afro grocery store even though there are similar stores near my house. I don’t mind the drive cos the customer service and experience is always superb! The staff are always pleasant and would ensure they go an extra mile to help get I need even if it is not available on their display shelves or in stock.

Think about any food brand or product you know back home (Africa). Mosaic African foods has it. Beverages, Cereasl, tinned foods, biscuits, other snacks like plantain and potato chips, tubers, grains, garri, poundo, vegetables, frozen foods, smoked fishes, seasonings, etc.

Mosaic African Foods is a store where price tags are no longer affixed on products because they want to rip off customers. I used to visit this store and price tags are on every product, but now you will have to ask the lady for the price of palm oil, vegetable oil, yam, garri, pounded yam, rice, plantain and everything else, and she will then check from her note pad where various prices are written. It is like they give you a price based on how rich you appear and are dressed. This behaviour is contrary to Canadian Consumer Laws. A typical and corrupt Nigerian way of doing business are ripping people off. I have told my friends that we should no longer go to Mosaic until prices are affixed on every product.

Whenever I come here, I am well take care of. Everyone is ready to help and they even carry your groceries to your car! All my questions get answered and the prices are very competitive.

Don't buy their garri if you are going to smoke it (drinking garri). I washed it several times but it still had lots of sand in it. You can't see this sand with the naked eye but with every single bite you take you are eating sand. Most horrible experience I ever had smoking garri

Never had an issue with shopping here since I started going here in 2007. The products are well priced, fresh, and of great quality. I find a lot of products here that are not available in other African stores. I have also used Mosaic to source the bulk purchase of items for the traditional engagement ceremony/wine carrying for marriage and they have always come through. I would highly recommend Mosaic to anyone!
