Passing through Castlegar. Glad we did and found this place. The fish pakora is FANTASTIC. Lightly deep fried to perfection. The chutney....OMG...perfect for the pakora. Rogan Josh was amazing. Hidden gem in Castlegar. Have to eat here again when in town.

I had an amazing visit last night to The Cuisine of India in Castlegar. I was so impressed with the service and atmosphere in this small BC town. The lassi drinks were sweet, I had the best veggie Samosas ever. Their mint and tamarind sauces for samosas were chilled and perfectly blended. Roti bread, pulau rice, and spicy lamb saag were all done to perfection. If you are looking for authentic, well made, and delicious Indian food, visit this location. Don’t be afraid to ask questions about dishes you aren’t familiar with, the staff was very very helpful!

I ate here for the first time and it was awesome fantastic beverages a great selection of tea and the menu is outstanding. The price range is phenomenal. Alot of bang for your buck and the restaurant it self is family run. I highly recommend eating here if you like spicy or not it is my best Indian cuisine experience so far in BC. Thank you for the great experience

Amazing food! The tandoori chicken is to die for, very moist and flavored very well. The service was also fantastic. The servings are also quite large, enough so that you will have leftovers. One of my favourite restaurants in the kootenays.

The Samosas we had were fresh and delicious, so was the naan bread. Chicken Tikka Masala could be better, frankly, I was disappointed as the chicken pieces were very bland, the sauce was too sweet and lacking the essence the authentic taste of this dish in Indian cuisine.

Not very busy, but service was slow. Someone on schedule may have been inconvenienced. The food was great. Worth the wait.

It was good food, nice size for their lunch. Service could've been a little more intimate. Our server was stand-offish.
