St Cathy's Student Residence

We sent one of our tenants to St Cathy’s. She was very pleased with the experience. It was clean, very secure and the location is prime….she loved it. I recommend for anyone looking for student housing.

GOOD:- Good location, good heating/hot water etc, sound proof windows, top floor study/chill area and balcony were good, nice common kitchenBAD:- quality (curtains didn't block the light, no desk light, elevator and ac sometimes broke, floor was peeling)- VERY small! They look a lot bigger in the pictures- construction noises at 6am for months!- way too expensive for what it is

I am sad to say that after two years of residing at St. Cathys, I am so sad to leave. I had the greatest experience living here and made amazing friends. You can't get a better location that this, right across the street from my school (Concordia). Staff was super nice, always helpful and welcoming and made me feel right at home. The terrace is the best the city has. I will miss living here and the manager promised me I could stay here when I come back to visit, which I most definitely will.

Great freshman year experience for my son and a delightful and helpful staff. My son chose this place for the fantastic rooms (private room, private bath, own kitchen) and great common facilities (fully equipped kitchen, sun decks, rec rooms). The residence is ideally and centrally located and offers bright, light and clean rooms. Laundry right down the hall! Great place to call home and sorry to be leaving!

When I moved here I was unsure of where to stay, so I thought St. Cathys would be fine. Its so overpriced for what you get. couldn't make toast without setting off the fire alarm. I lost my keys a couple days before I moved out and asked for a new set to borrow, and the woman at the front desk told me that I wasn't allowed and to just keep my room unlocked and wait at the front until someone else came in. It took 2 months of my 4 month stay for them to put a TV in my room, even though I was promised one when I signed the lease. One of the RA's threatened to ban my friend from the building for defending herself after he yelled at her all while he invited himself in my room. When I had to move all my stuff out, the elevator was still broken and i was 4 flights up. I also ordered packages and the woman at the front refused to accept them on my behalf, even though they promise front desk service on their website. Its advertised as a student house but they rent out the rooms that are unoccupied to anyone. I haven't lived there in 6 months and I still get emails from them even though I have asked them to stop. Its a beautiful space and Ernest is great, but no one is there for you when you need them.

I loved living at St.Cathy's! You truly can't beat the location- made attending 8am classes tolerable being only a minute walk from Concordia. I also met so many people including 3 of my best friends who I'm still close with. The rooms have everything you need and it was such a stress free process moving in since they were already furnished! Would definitely stay in this building again. :)

I stayed here for my first year in Montreal and it was amazing. Rooms are a little pricey but definitely worth it. It's in a very convenient spot downtown, close to metro and university too. The staff are super kind and helpful, and you get to meet a lot of cool people! You'll feel right at home.

I had an incredible experience staying at St-Cathy's residence! My sister and I both lived here and made a ton of incredible friends. My university experience definitely changed for the better after living at St-Cathy's. I would recommend this residence to anyone who is looking to meet amazing people and live close to campus. I will definitely be returning.

The rooms are absolutely tiny, it's almost like you're in solitary confinement. The wifi is extremely slow and there's rarely hot water. Even if rent was $300 a month. I still wouldn't even consider living in such poor conditions. The people who work there are just as horrible, my friend was asked to move out 5 days before his lease was over and was given this news on the morning he was asked to leave. I highly suggest never signing a lease here, let alone spend a night.

The location is convenient, with easy access to public transportation and many shops and restaurants nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming. The only drawback was that the walls were a bit thin, so it could be noisy at times. However, for the price and the location, St. Cathy's is a great option for students or anyone on a budget looking for a comfortable place to stay in Montreal
