Caryn came highly recommended to me and while taking her Pet Professional course, I understood why. Her knowledge and love for animals is inspiring. Not only does she know what state a dog is in because of her expert ability to read its body language, she knows how to assist the dog and it's owner in resolving issues with her extensive training background. She has trained seven different species and that in itself is a huge feat! Caryn is an engaging facilitator and had my complete attention during the whole 14 hours. If anything I could have stayed longer! I realize now that many people don't even know they are treating a pet in an inhumane way. (even a simple dog collar can pose danger and injury) And many people in the field are using methods that make me think, how would you like it if someone did that to you?" I agree with Caryn's methods because they are based on knowledge

Finding a good trainer with the actual education necessary to give advice is hard. Look no further. Caryn is amazing at training you on how to help your dog.

We and our doggy have just finished with the Cranky Canine Program for Dog-Directed Reactivity. The classes were taught by Caryn and assisted by Meg. First of all, they are just amazing people. Not only that they are caring and knowledgeable, but they are also always positive and encouraging. The program is very well structured and organized. The techniques that we were taught are based on positive reinforcement. These techniques are invaluable tools for handling our reactive dog. After 4 weeks of training in class and practices on our own time, we have already seen substantial improvement. I highly recommend this program for any dog parent whose dog has dog-directed reactivity.

I first met Caryn during a Basic Obedience class with my Mini Schnauzer, Daisy, nearly 3 years ago. I loved the class - and adore Caryn's teaching methods and philosophy. Daisy and I have taken Whatta Pup's! Basic and Intermediate Obedience classes as well as an Introduction to Agility class. I also took Whatta Pup's! Dog Walker Course (now a Pet Professional Course) - a really great class for anyone who walks/takes care of dogs (either your own or professionally).Caryn is an amazing teacher, a fantastic mentor, a knowledgeable and caring resource and wonderful person. I never hesitate to recommend her to anyone! :)

I had thought about making the jump to dog walking as a career for a number of years, but I wasn't quite sure where to start. On paper, it is easy enough, however, I was looking for a little more guidance and direction, as there are a lot of variables when it comes to caring for pets – not to mention the mountains of misinformation in caring for dogs, in particular. After searching for dog walking and pet professional courses in the Toronto area, I discovered the Whatta Pup! Pet Professional course.Caryn provided a great deal of guidance and confidence in moving forward with my new career, and the course was loaded with quality information and personal experiences, which made the days fly by.As someone who has fair amount of experience in public speaking, I think the highest compliment I could give regarding the course is that I didn't check the time once. In fact, I'm very confident nobody did.The positive reinforcement methods, resources and personal experience that Caryn provided to us in the class were just what I was looking for, and for that I thank Whatta Pup! greatly, and recommend the Pet Professional Course to anyone who is thinking about dog walking, boarding, or simply being a better guardian to their pet.

My experience with Whatta Pup! has been and continues to be amazing. I had never been a dog guardian" prior to adopting Layla from the Humane Society in March and didn't know where to begin. When I first adopted Layla she pulled on her leash

Completed Primary School with TCCE. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed bringing our puppy to class and learned a lot of valuable concepts. The flexible schedule is a real benefit and it's nice to have a mix of different puppies at various stages in the program in each class. Even if you're confident with your own training progress, it's great to have a place for your puppy to learn to play with other healthy puppies.

Caryn came and helped us at a time where my brand new rescue puppy's fear issues had peaked. She listened patiently as I described my worries and gave an initial consultation over the phone that I thoroughly appreciated. By the end of our first face-to-face meeting, my very shy puppy had begun to take treats from her (a first for him, and from a stranger!) We eventually took the Basic Manners class at Carlaw and she taught me valuable lessons about dog communication and positive reinforcement. Watson has grown to be a young, gregarious, and happy dog - with much thanks to Caryn! She genuinely loves her clients and their owners! She's remarkably the best people-trainer I've ever met... and the dogs love her too!

Love, love, love Caryn! If you are looking for a trainer or just help with your dog this is the place to go! Don't look anywhere else, TCCE is the place. Our dog, Shadow, did puppy training with Caryn at 1 (she was a rescue). We also did Control Unleashed and Cranky Canine classes. I am so thankful to Caryn for helping us to understand what changes we needed to make in order to set Shadow up for success. Shadow went from lunging at other dogs and being crazy on the end of her leash to being able to be in a dog park with other dogs without incident. It's not magic, you have to do the work and listen to the experts like Caryn at TCCE, but it's as close to magic as you will get.
