Disappointing Experience at Chilangos RestaurantI recently visited Chilangos Restaurant and unfortunately, I had a highly unsatisfactory experience that I feel compelled to share. The main cause of my disappointment stems from the misleading advertising of their half-off appetizers after 9 pm, which was prominently displayed in multiple places without any conditions specified.Upon arrival, my companions and I were eager to take advantage of this enticing offer. However, to our dismay, we were informed after placing our orders that the discount only applied if we also ordered drinks with our food. This abrupt revelation left us feeling deceived and deeply dissatisfied with the restaurant's integrity.Transparency in advertising is crucial, and when a promotion is advertised without clear conditions, it creates a sense of false expectations. The lack of disclosure regarding the requirement to purchase drinks alongside the appetizers was both misleading and dishonest on the part of Chilangos. This practice tarnished our dining experience and left us feeling undervalued as customers.As patrons, we expect honesty and fairness from establishments we choose to dine at. Unfortunately, Chilangos failed to meet these expectations, resulting in a significant negative impact on our overall dining experience. It is disheartening to witness a restaurant resort to such tactics, as it undermines the trust between customers and the establishment.I hope that Chilangos takes this feedback constructively and reevaluates its advertising practices to ensure transparency and consistency in the future. Honest and upfront communication is vital in maintaining a positive relationship with customers and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.In light of my disappointing experience, I regretfully cannot recommend Chilangos Restaurant to others who seek a reliable and honest dining experience.

Service was very friendly. Seriously. Give that guy a raise! 11/10 service for sure.The place was packed but the wait was only about 20 minutes. Totally worth it.We didn't wait long for our food, and it was well presented. It was clearly not fresh, however. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Just don't assume the food is authentic, it isn't. It was tasty, hot and enjoyable though.Chilangos is a fun place to go out with some friends and have some tacos and beers occasionally. Just enjoy the place for what it is.I do recommend stopping by and trying it, it's kind of like the Kelsey's of Mexican food.

This is always one of my best restaurants in our Belleville area to go for a Mexican food and fine dinner with family , friends and colleagues.• They have a type of sauce which can easily go with all dishes. I love the spicy one so ordered the very spicy sauce with my main course.• Must try their shots and refreshing margaritas.• I love their staff members and servers are very helpful, friendly and energetic ❤️

The atmosphere wasn't very bright, the service was decent, not personable friendly or chatty.The wait time for food was around 15-20 minutes.The food was good, decent portions, could've been a little more and a little less for certain things.Platting looked decent, but appetizingThe dessert was very good. However the ice cream was ice milk, maybe something I'd buy for a few bucks at the grocery store on a sad day.Overall: average satisfaction for a taco Tuesday

What a pleasant surprise! My son & DIL suggested this place for a bday celebration. Didn't need reservations even though it was Friday at 6pm. This place is so large yet they have ample staff so that you're well looked after. That makes me happy.The menu had sooo many great things on it that I definitely have to go back to sample some other lovely sounding items. Oh, and the menu is actually really pretty. So vibrant and descriptive. Loved it.Had a nacho plate for appetizer for the table and it was addictive. I ordered the Aztec Salad with chicken. We all know it's hit/miss with lettuce these days and avocado is only ripe for a couple hours so the fact that this was BANG ON perfect; I gotta say, I was very impressed. There was ample chicken, all white meat and nicely sliced into bite sized pieces.I didn't want dessert but was talked into gluten free chocolate cake. OMG, I ordered it saying I think I like gluten but I'll try it because I love chocolate" knowing that my hubby was keeping his fork in order to have "his share". IT WAS DELICIOUS!! Served warm with chocolate sauce. Wow

We had a wonderful time here. Went for a dinner with friends by chance. The food was great but the service was even better. Veronica our server was super kind and the service was accommodating, despite us coming in shortly before close. Veronica helped us order and recommended drink deals.Good all stuff all around, will stop by next time I'm in town!

A diamond in the rough! Quality from top to bottom.My only qualm; why are the lights so bright? You'll notice every dimmer behind the bar is maxed out. You almost need sunglasses if you step in here at night. Amigos! Use those dimmers and create a vibe that doesn't remind me of grade 11 physics class!

Never disappoints. If you love Mexican you will just LOVE Chillangos! Everything I have eaten has been top notch authentic Mexican. You have to try to gorditos and obviously a margarita!
