Sushi Daruma

I had the pleasure of visiting Sushi Daruma recently and was delighted with the incredible sushi experience! The quality of the sushi was top notch with fresh ingredients and delicious flavors. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was cozy and inviting, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. All in all, I highly recommend Sushi Daruma for anyone looking for a fantastic sushi experience. It's definitely a hidden gem and easily my goto" restaurant in the city when I'm craving sushi!"

Service was friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was clean and inviting. The sushi was great. I'd recommend Sushi Daruma to anyone looking for good quality sushi.

Average sushi with cheaper than average (some rolls) prices.Friendly service. Lots of seating room. Large menu. One of the rolls had minimal smoked salmon in it. The “spicy” roll, had no spice, requested a separate side, to which they charged for. The mushroom roll had a piece of Saran Wrap in it.

Waitress wasn't very helpful.Sushi was mostly rice except for the one in the picture- which cost $15. Tea was tepid.

My friends and I took a special guest who was visiting from Mexico to sushi daruma. It was all of our first time going. The restaurant had been highly recommended by another friend of mine. While the food was really good, the service was not there. We were given individual menus that you mark down what you’re ordering, sort of like an all you can eat place. Half of our table put in their order and got their food in a timely manner. My boyfriend and I put ours in maybe 20 minutes after, mainly because the servers didn’t have time to come back. They were busy. We had to ask for soya sauce, and they never brought dishes to pour our sauce into, so we just used plates from the appetizers. I’ve never had that happen in a sushi restaurant before lol. Took the server a while come back with glasses for our beverages, which not the biggest deal but the worst was that they just completely forgot to make me and my boyfriends order.It was about an hour and a half into us being there, our friends are finished eating, tables who had come after us were being served second rounds of sushi, when we finally asked where our food was. We were being patient, they looked busy. I had gotten miso soup and my boyfriend had nothing but a couple of beers. I asked the server, she went and spoke to the kitchen, which we were sitting directly across from, and they denied they forgot. They insisted they had brought out everything we had ordered. I started to recall our order to the server and magically they found our order and started to prepare it. 30 mins before they close, after everyone’s eaten, full, wanting the cheque and we still hadn’t eaten. At that point my appetite was ruined because I was so upset. None of the chefs or a manager came to speak with us or to apologize. It felt like one of the servers was uncomfortable and didn’t want to deal with us. There was one very nice server, and they comped our drinks but we still paid $100 for this unpleasant experience. Washroom was also gross. Leaking sink and a duct taped toilet roll holder.

Its my go to sushi place. Never a bad meal. Its the only good place in the area where i live and is always consistent. It is a little bit on the pricey side compared to others in the area but its worth it because of the quality amd consistency.

My new go to sushi restaurant since I work in the area. I saw that this place was nominated for one of Winnipeg’s best sushi restaurants and I understand why! Best part is that when I split the bill I never spend more than 25$. 4 stars only because they close during prime lunch time hours when i’m hungry

Good sushi, nice booths, wonderful staffWent on a friend date here, they were quick to seat us, even though it was nearing the end of their day nothing suffered in quality.The food was amazing, fairly proced rolls that were very tasty and well balanced. You can tell the staff is friendly and kinda and they all get along very well.

A hidden gem in the Henderson Hwy area! Beautiful presentation, delicious sushi! They knock it out of the park and then some! Owners are sweet and staff is friendly :-) my miso soup even had a green onion in the shape of a heart, it loved me as much as I loved it! If you’re ever in the area,Stop by!! Try the Dave’s Super Friday roll! (not pictured - but my all time favourite)

Love sushi but never went to a sushi restaurant. Food and service excellent! Casual atmosphere, you can also pick up and take home! Very healthy choices too
