My daughter and have both been referred to this clinic and have never had a call back. When I called three months later they said our referrals had expired and we needed new ones so we did and still never got a call. Very unprofessional.

Just reading Mackenzie's experience, Wow! I went there after speaking from AiSH and it took 1 month B4 my appeal appointment to finaly get an appointment. Strange being. Social worker in the past, also after 20 years of treatment resistant MDD , GAD, panic attacks and ADD, with meds to he situation was getting worse. Have read about to double depression and tried to Inquire if that could be it be side I started with dysthymia. Asif to challenge me, he looked it up inte dsm showed me it wasn't there and told me to leave the diagnosing" to the professionals

Dr Thakker has a lot more ability in making his words obscure than he does psychology. Definitely a lot less introspect and a lot more reading and ticking off boxes via word clues. The people in this building should not be working in the field of mental health.

Well I was referred to here by a university of alberta doctor. It took them 1 1/2 months to actually get back to me about when they'd give an appointment, 3 months to actually get my appointment, then at the literal last second they cancelled. They told me oh we tried to contact you but the line didn't pick up"... Then call me again as I'm in the clinic. The line picks up perfectly fine. Oh not to mention they sent a CONFIRMATION MESSAGE THE DAY BEFORE telling me to proceed as normal. After all that I get a "we'll get back to you in about a month or something". Are you serious. So this clinic clearly has some serious changes to make because this is an absolute joke. I wouldn't recommend someone to this clinic even if it was their last resort. I'm also gonna talk to my doctor about recommending people elsewhere

I was referred to the clinic by my physician. I had 2 knee replacements in 5 months and was wanting to build on what I could do rather than what I couldn't do. This was January 2020. After going to an introductory class, I had a one on one with a kinesiologist. Subsequently I started going to class twice a week and worked with her on an individualized program. I then registered for another class addressing healthier eating. I was put in the que for 2 additional classes dealing with grief and stress management. Unfortunately Covid interfered with my plans. I always found the front desk to be friendly and willing to help. This fall the kinesiologist as well as the staff offering the grief class called to see if I was still interested. I personally was not comfortable working with Zoom so I didn't follow through. I am grateful for all their efforts to include me. I have been waiting to return but may have to get on board with technology. I found the classes to be very beneficial for me.

Dr.Talinsky used obscure language and rhetorical questions to compare my life and mental state to some of his past clients who have gone through the holocaust . I was also asked “since you want to be a social worker what would you say to someone in your position” and “if someone from the holocaust was trapped in a oven during a raid what would you say too someone in that position” this was all during a mental health evaluation it was so shocking and confusing I didn’t know what to say. Stay far away from this office if you want a caring mental health team
