Very rude front desk service, Denielle was Just not helpful. She did not abide by and was not knowledgeable about website policy. No superiors on site on weekend to assist with customer service. Used to be student here, but as a non student they treat you very poorly, and disrespectful.

The gym itself is very crowded but the pool is great. Never too full. The gym has everything you need and if you got on off hours it's not too packed. Overall it's a good gym and it's hours are pretty good

The gym/ rec center are modern and clean. Weekly Sunday morning hockey from October through April. The dressing rooms are always clean with serviceable showers. The rooms are older without many updates but serve the purpose. The running track rings the ice rink. The ice is alright, not the best ice but I have skates on far worse.

There's an incredible 50m swimming pool and also other amenities as well. If you want to stay healthy while studying at western this is the place.

TL;DR: great gym, especially for powerliftersThe gym's compact and rugged which I personally like, but I understand that it isn't for everyone. Plenty of squat racks but the safety guards don't go low enough for something like a rack pull. There's no dedicated weightlifting platforms (at least to my knowledge, there might be outside the main gym), but most people just deadlift in the racks since there's so many to go around. Very busy at peak hours but if you go early it's not that bad. Lack of machine quantity but you get good quality (the hack squat machine is especially nice) and the amount of free weights make up for it. All in all a great gym if you're serious about getting stronger.

The students at Western have a great facility for workouts and to stay healthy. All three courts were well-maintained for the Purple and White Sr. Girls High School basketball tournament this weekend.

Was at the OUA swimming meet, and it was wonderful to see the students complete. I found the acoustics very poor and couldn't hear the announcer well at all. Great facility
