Canim Lake Resort

My family and I recently had a great time staying in Cabin 6 at Canim Lake Resort. It was quiet, relaxing and peaceful. The scenery was beautiful. We caught several rainbow trout (hint, troll wedding band lures with a worm). We went and hiked to Canim Falls and Mahood Falls. We checked out Mahood Lake. And we had lots of great nights around the campfire looking at the stars. The owners, Rudy and Dorothy are wonderful and have some great stories to tell having owned the property for 30 years. I highly recommend Canim Lake Resort and would stay here again.

My husband and I stayed in Cabin 8, and quickly discovered why there are no pictures of the interior on the website! Given the run down state of the cabin, I am still fuming that it cost me $150 a night. The cabin has such a strong tilt you can roll a can from one side to the other. I would get slight vertigo each other time I left the bathroom, the slope was so bad! The interior might have been nice 25 years ago, but it's painfully obvious the bare minimum has been invested in the upkeep. There is no potable water in the cabin, so you have to bring in or boil water. Given that it's probably lake water I don't recommend cooking with it. The resort" grounds have no tree cover

We just love visiting Canim Lake Resort. Rudy and Dorothee are amazing. The cabins and facilities are clean and looked after. The property is beautiful and well maintained. We have been going here for a few years now for holidays. An absolute 10/10!! The fishing is awesome. Char, Trout and Ling Cod at your finger tips. What more could you ask for!Highly recommend this beautiful resort.

Our parents, siblings, their families and ours went there for about a week and got the full experience. The owner prefers German and American tourist's rather than us from the lower mainland, etc... He said he likes their better tips, paying him to hunt our cougars and other big game on guided expeditions, and eating most of their meals at hos mini restaurant. We were not at all impressed with the food!

Stayed in cabin 4, brought an 18 foot boat. Decent boat launch, very clean and warm cabin. stayed during May long weekend with overnight temps down to around 2 degrees and cabin was very comfortable. No cell service and inconsistent WIFI but who needs their phone when you have a view like that. Nearby general store very well stocked with food/booze and supplies. Will definitely be coming back in the future

Nice view and clean camp zone , but-It was horrible weekend!!!!Owners were rude and mean.Not friendly couple at all.They are so hungry for money....For one night camping with one trailer and one private car we payed almost $100Ca....They asked money for everything...When we had couple of visitors that came for a half hour to say hello , owners asked for extra 15$...NEVER AGAIN !!!!!!

Very nice location and kind owners! We were the first campers of the season, didn't have a reservation and they instantly got everything ready for us. We can only recommend tp stay here when your itinary includes 100mile house.

This is the 5th year that our family has had another successful gathering at Canim Lake Resort.There are usually 30 to 42 people, ranging in age from newborn to 92 years old and this resort has something to offer everyone. From the playground…… to the fishing…. to a great gathering place to keep out of the sun or rain. We love this place.The washroom facilities are well looked after and very clean. Cabins are cozy, clean and well equipped. The individual RV sites are well maintained, lawns mowed and garbage always picked up.The hosts, Rudy and Dorothee offer a very secure, friendly camping experience.I look forward to returning each year.

My family chose this resort to have a reunion a few weeks back which meant approx. 30 of us coming. We all made reservations back in January. There was a lot of apprehension because of the fires but we decided to go when 100 mile house evacuation was lifted. As excited as we all were unfortunately it did not last long. The cabins we rented were in need of major repair and the towels were ones I would use on my dogs. The water was undrinkable with a sign above the sink that it needed to be boiled first which no one made us aware of. We were told there was a swimming area for the children but it was a smelly bank full of geese poop, weeds, and leeches. I could have almost put up with all of that but the couple who own this site provided the worst customer service and he was a angry man and a bully. Thankfully most of my family were there and we made the best of things but I have to save never again. I understand they are selling the resort probably a good idea

We’re so excited to be going back. We live near Seattle and plan our annual family camp out here with our Canadian family. We love this resort, Rudy and Dorthee are awesome host!
