DO NOT waste your time with these guysWe booked them for drilling/setting posts a couple of months ago. They said they put us in their calendar, took our address and everything seemed legit. We confirmed with them before buying thousands of dollars of wood/getting locates done and they said they were coming. We checked in with them 2 days before the scheduled date and they said they would be here for 9 AM. The day came and they did not show. We tried calling multiple times, texting, messaging on Kijiji, nothing but crickets. The voicemail box was full so we were not able to leave a voicemail. We had to call around to find a new contractor. Extremely disappointed and frustrated by the lack of communication and professionalism. What a joke. Don't waste your time, get a reputable contractor.

Everything started out well with Scott of GSR renovations but then completely fell apart. If you are considering hiring GSR renovations please read this full review before doing so. We contacted Scott at the end of April 2022 and he provided a prompt reply with competitive pricing to dig and set 28 posts for us. Scott and his brother arrived on May 28th on time and prepared for the job. We provided Scott with verbal and written instructions for post spacing and placement. He assured us that he understood and that it was straightforward, he dug 25 of the 28 holes. They left without saying when they would be back and as forecasted a large amount of rain fell in the following days and the holes they dug filled with water and many collapsed in on themselves. Scott and his brother returned the following weekend and assessed the holes. Scott indicated he regretted digging the holes prior to the rain and that “nothing like this has happened to him before”. He said he would come by daily to check on the holes and as they dried out he would do sections at a time if he had to. It sounded like he was committed to the job and to fixing the problems that arose due to the weather. Scott never came by to check on the holes (at least not to our knowledge), and communication completely broke down. I sent multiple messages asking when he would be returning, tried calling and leaving voicemails, and posting a direct message on their Instagram. No reply. By the end of June I saw posts on other jobs they completed pop up on their social media pages, and realized they had officially abandoned the job. We had another company come look at the state of our yard and they let us know the holes were misplaced (not 6 ft on center as we asked) and many were too wide for the 6x6 posts we had. Not only did we lose precious time to build our fence this summer and had to live with our yard in shambles, we now have to find a company willing to take this on.

These guys are top notch and provide a quality service. I highly recommend them for your future projects.

We heard of GSR Renovations through recommendations from our local Facebook group for fence replacement. Scott (the S part of GSR) returned our call and gave us a reasonable quote. He started a week later and finished today. He is a very nice, friendly, respectable man who did an outstanding job in a timely manner. We would highly recommend him and will use him for any future projects we have.

We booked a fence post installation almost two months in advance, and the guy NO SHOWED on our appointment! Voice-mail full, wouldn't return phone calls, no email response...we were left high and dry after making arrangements well in advance, which very much screwed us over since we had made arrangements for a fence to be built and had click before you dig already come out. Extremely disappointed by this lack of professionalism and communication.

Good customer service, work quickly and quality work. Would recommend to anyone.

We had a great experience with GSR Renovations!They installed a black chain-link fence for us, the entire set up was completed in a day, and we have a big yard! GSR Renos brought in good quality materials, and in combination with their experience, our fence looks absolutely great. We get so many compliments on it.They were extremely courteous and professional; took the time to tell me about an area I should be cautious with with our dog. As a devoted pet parent, this meant a lot!! They were even great about the dog going outside while they were working.I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend GSR Renovations. We will be going back to them for future projects.

These guys built me my fence and I loved it so I got them to build me my deck and that’s fantastic as well. Highly recommend them!
