We were referred by our neighbor on how good Hung Uke is, and boy were they right. The food was fabulous. We were greeted by the owner with a smile and lots of enthusiasm. We will be back.

HUNG UKE is Best Homemade style Ukranian Meal you will find in Red Deer.There are Only two places to have Ukranian Food in Red Deer, and Hung Uka is The Best Location HOMEMADE in house items.Without a Doubt THE BEST you will find in Central Alberta. 5 star rating.There Frozen selection is unreal alsoI have a review for Viva-Deli the only other place for Ukranian style food in West Red Deer. They are NOT the Quality and Flavor of HUNG UKAHUNG UKE NUMBER 1 Ukranian Meal HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Amazing delicious and fresh home made comfort Ukrainian food!! Delicious Borscht and pierogies highly recommend Hung Uke!! We will be back! One of our favorite places in Red Deer!!!

Absolutely amazing food and atmosphere. Feel like I’m eating in my grandmother’s house when I go there. Borscht and pierogi are amazing. Only thing I could ask for - onions fried in butter not oil. Otherwise I wouldn’t change a thing. Well worth buying the frozen packages to take home and enjoy. So happy to have authentic Ukrainian food and atmosphere to enjoy here in Red Deer.

Husband and I tried for the first time and had the Valentines Special!Wowsa the food was absolutely delicious and we felt we were in their living room being treated like old friends.The Goulash was delicious, a little heat to warm you up on cold nights! Then the Pierogies arrived!!!! It fed us both and leftovers! Generous portions made with love!We are definitely making space in our freezing to get a huge bag of these soon.Wonderful meal and a great time !See you again

I tried out Hunguke last week on a lunch break! Phenomenal Hungarian and Ukrainian food. As soon as I walked in, I was taken aback by how good the food smelled!! The pasta was phenomenal. Great prices, portions and quality!!! Will visit again.

Came here during a recent work trip and the goulash was fantastic! But the personable customer service was outstanding. I felt like family when coming in. Definitely coming back, Дякую!

I tried out Hung Uke on a recent trip to Red Deer. Very glad that I did because it was delicious. I tried the borscht, pyrogy poutine, and the dinner for one. It was all great, the borscht didn't skimp on beets and the pyrogy poutine was amazing. I ended up buying 3 bags of pyrogies (potato cheddar, potato onion, and saurkraut) and Hungarian sausage from the freezer/cooler to take home to Calgary. I attemped to make the poutine at home but it just wasn't as good because I didn't make my own gravy. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu and stock back up on pyrogies the next time I'm in Red Deer. Do yourself a favor and try this place out. You won't regret it.
