Lawtons Drugs Duffus Street

This is a true neighbourhood business. All the staff are friendly and relaxed and I can always find help if I need it. I have specific medical and pharmaceutical needs that have led to some impressive mistakes with other pharmacies, but the pharmacy staff here are super, answering questions clearly and providing excellent service that really hits the mark whether I phone in or visit.

We love our local Lawtons. The pharmacy service is outstanding. Regardless of who sees you at the counter first, there is always time to consult or answer questions. After almost 18 years of living in the neighbourhood I have yet to have a complaint.

This morning I walked in with my 7 year old niece and asked for a sheet of bus tickets. The cashier was very sweet, and mentioned that I would need some youth tickets for my niece as well, so I bought a sheet of those too. We hopped on the bus and the driver said that since she was under 12, my niece wouldn’t need a ticket. Later in the day I tried to return the youth tickets to Lawton’s, but since I had torn one of them off, they wouldn’t be able to re-sell them, therefor wouldn’t be able to refund my money. This itself wasn’t the worst news in the world, but the manager was quite short with me, a little condescending, and didn’t even apologize for the trouble. It mostly just hurt my feelings. I could see that the cashiers felt bad for me and even gave me a little smile as I walked out, but I still left feeling unnecessarily defeated and powerless. A chain like Lawton’s wouldn’t even notice having to cover the $18 bucks I lost, but it’s a big deal for me. If the manager had been a little more sympathetic, I don’t think I would have had such a sour taste in my mouth after leaving. Anyways, Lawton’s is fine, perhaps the manager was just having a tough day, but I’m friggin sensitive and feel sad about the whole thing. And again, powerless. That is all

I had been going to Lawton's mostly for their post office services, and in the course of doing so would pick up a few other things as well. After being insulted twice in a row by their post office employee, Liam, an obese young man with long hair, I have decided never to set foot in that store again, even though it's close by my residence.A few weeks ago, I filled out a delivery form, only to be told by Liam, You did it wrong!" in a highly condescending manner.Today

Lawtons on Duffus makes a lie of the often asserted notion that people lack courtesythese days.Everyone there is so helpful,from the front counter,to the P.O., and the go the extramile pharmacy team.It feels a little like a village centre,with cheerful,kindly,helpful and competent people,as a senior I am most grateful.

had a terrible experience at this location, an older lady was incredibly rude to me when i simply did not know the post office was closed. she yelled in my face and i was nothing but nice to her as i work in customer service as well and would never ever treat a customer like that.

The staff at the post office is amazing Very knowledgeable, kind, helpful and diligent …100% customer oriented i find this staff so supportive educated and efficient

Super friendly staff and has a Canada Post office conveniently located inside (far left corner). It's a very small Lawtons though and definitely showing its age. The neighborhood may also not be the best after dark. Everything in the store is cramped closely together, and combined with the low ceilings and poor lighting can make you feel a little claustrophobic.

Exceptional customer service. Staff is amazing - both in the pharmacy and front end staff. Very friendly and helpful. I would continue to patronise this store even if I moved to the other side of town,
