Often interesting special visual art open to public free. Convenient to Vancouver Art Gallery and Bill Reid Gallery plus assorted private galleries on Howe St. (west side north)

Great gallery showcasing local British Columbian talent. The shows change monthly. There is a great spot to get a coffee and then take in the artwork while the pendulum swings in the lobby.

Pendulum Gallery
This is one of my favourite stops whenever I am in the area. You never know what's going to pop up on the walls of this little free gallery beneath the massive pendulum overhead. Truly magical if you can happen upon the space when the pendulum is actually swinging. Not quite as soothing as the Nitobe Memorial Garden at UBC, but its gentle swoosh as you take in the artwork is a welcome tonic.

I wouldn't really call this a gallery. It looked more like a temporary art exhibit. With only one artist, and pop-up type walls in the lobby of the building. It didn't seem like there were any employees present-not that they were needed. It was a quick in and out exhibit.

Davvero molto affascinante poter vedere oscillare questo gigantesco pendolo sistemato nell'atrio di questo palazzo. Ci sono capitato molti anni fa mentre andavo allo Stanley Park è ne sono rimasto colpito. Se ricordo bene era l'atrio di una banca o comunque di proprietà di una banca. Sicuramente da vedere se si passa di li.
