HealthVue Medical Clinic

The GPs are generally good and helpful. The biggest problem with this clinic is their reception. Some of their receptionists are quite rude... One of them come across very rude, aggressive and disrespectful! Not sharing their name here to respect privacy.

Spoke to the receptionist and booked in a phone appointment no problem. Made time to get off work early to take the phone call but recieved no call. Will try again because this has been a waste of time.Edit: Booked in another online appointment, waited for the phone call, never got it. Called the clinic was put on hold then hang up on. Waste of time all around. would avoid this horrible, time wasting clinic.

Dr. Wiaan bedeker best family doctor I’ve had. He’s very patient and listens to your concerns. He’s very polite and caring. I would highly recommend him. The receptionists are super nice and welcome you with smile. I’ve never had a problem booking appointments with them. Never have to wait long time to see doctor. Overall 10/10 experience

HealthVue Medical Clinics has moved from a health centric mode to a profit cerntric model over the past few years. Have had two family doctors retire in the past couple of years no doubt due to frustration with the current system. Access to the current family doctor in a timely manner is frustratingly difficult given the hours of operation. Phone consults have twice been rescheduled by them for late afternoon but the doctor does not phone.Update 02Sep22. Over the past month access to the doctor has improved, although not sure if due to a change in office procedures or more openings available for visit/phone consults because more people are on vacation.

I have been seeing Dr. Maiter for a few years now and she really cares about her patients and takes the time to help. I had a cough for 2 years and had been to so many clinics and done so many tests and no other doctor helped get me better than Dr. Maiter which I am very grateful because it was very hard coughing every day even when I wasn't sick. She also cares about my nutrition and how I was doing overall and huge support for me and now I take my family to her and to her wonderful team.I have also seen Dr. Kagee when my doctor is not working and he is also amazing. I have never had any issues with the receptionists, they definitely don't make you waste time sitting in the waiting area for more than 15 minutes. I recommend this clinic anytime someone asks me.

I only have good things to say about my experience with Dr. Bedeker. His approach is highly professional and evidence informed. He takes the time to answer questions and follow up when deemed necessary.The same cannot be said about the clinic. The primary issue is contacting the clinic - although the online portal is straightforward enough, reaching the reception to book or modify an appointment or ask a question has been impossible in my experience. Despite calling during business hours, the phone line always rings continuously without answer.I'm not one to typically comment/post reviews, however, in this case, improvement of reception services would lead to a much enhanced patient experience.

Worst clinic, would not release my health records to me after my physician there stopped practicing unless I had a new doctor they could send it to. We have a right to access our own records! Very rude staff, will be filing a complaint with the college of physicians and surgeons.

Dr. Helene M. is one of the best family doctor in Richmond. The service in the clinic is really good.Sometimes you have to wait long, but that is part of the package with every clinic I have ever been in Vancouver.Really convenient location and easy access with free parking and no stairs.Thanks for your ongoing service, and keep up the good work!

Something has def changed at this clinic for the better. In the past the phone used to just keep ringing. Two days in a row the receptionist actually picked up the phone and took the trouble to slot us in for an appointment. Makes life so much easier for all.

I’m so glad to have found Dr. Bedeker. He is the type of GP one could hope for. He is patient centred and provides high quality evidence informed care. The front desk staff are also very pleasant to deal with. The online booking system with HealthVue is very straight forward. Thank you for taking care of us, Dr Bedeker and HealthVue clinic!
