I'm so grateful to Lauren for providing such an amazing experience with each and every visit. Having had a few bad hair experiences in the past, she is the only person I trust to touch my hair and truly understands exactly what I want without me even saying it. She has created such an amazing and inviting space with the salon (she can double as an interior designer folks) and we're lucky to have Lox and their team of stylists in our community.

Lauren travelled to Shelburne, NS to provide hair and makeup services to myself and bridal party. Simply put, she was fantastic.Lauren arrived early, came prepared, and was overall lovey to deal with. I was so impressed with how she dealt with the chaos that sometimes (often?!) arises with a wedding scene - she took time with each person to make sure they felt attended to. Lauren even took time out of her morning to teach my teenage daughter how to curl her hair and to do a quick up-do for a three-year-old niece who was feeling left out.I was also so happy with the final product. As someone who normally resides in British Columbia, I only met Lauren for the first time on the morning of the wedding. Despite this geographical complication, Lauren still managed to execute the look that I was describing exactly how I had hoped.I really can’t recommend her enough.

Lauren is such a great hair stylist, I would highly recommend her for any event that you have coming up! She styled my 5 bridesmaids + 1 friend and my own hair for my wedding day and she truly made my hair dreams come true :). I was a bit anxious to see what my final style would look like and Lauren reassured me the whole time that it would look stunning and it did! Everyone at the wedding commented at how beautiful her styles were and my own style lasted for a couple days after the wedding! We gave Lauren a timeline to get through 7 ladies and she fully accommodated with plenty of time left to spare.Highly recommend Lauren at Lox!

Jenn is a phenomenal hair stylist from cut to colour! She is thorough, works with precision and is beyond knowledgeable when it comes to working with hair and product. My hair has never felt and looked this good! The salon is a beautiful space that has you feeling calm and relaxed the moment you step foot in the door! I already cannot wait for my next visit! ❤️

Lauren and Karen did a fantastic job for our bridal hair and makeup. They both did a great job working with each of my bridesmaids to achieve their desired look, and the make-up looked great in photos without being overdone in real life.

It was my first time visiting Lox today, following Mischaela there who has been cutting my hair for years. It's a lovely and comfortable space!

I’m loving my hair! Lauren is fantastic to listening to what I want. Hair goals with hair journeys aren’t always the most fun, but Lauren is taking great care of my hair. I’m so pleased with the level she has gotten my hair to while keeping the integrity! She has listened to my wants and is making them happen! (And if you’re here reading hairstylist reviews, I know you feel me when I say this. We have all too many times not been listened to when we have a hair goal in mind) have no fear, you’re in great hands!!

Major gratitude for the Lox team! Lauren, Karine & Renee went beyond Five Stars with service and sharing hair their color correction knowledge! We had a very welcoming and comforting experience that literally made our world brighter. I highly recommend for ANYONE - but - especially anyone who has had hair trauma in the past. They are gentle, informed and the environment is warm and inviting.

I had an incredible experience at Lox, the space was so welcoming and Lauren really tailored my hair cut to my hair type. As someone who usually finds it difficult to find a stylist I trust, I’m so glad I took the leap and tried out this new studio. I will most definitely be booking here for my next hair cut!

Lauren and Nova traveled to Wolfville to provide hair and makeup services for our wedding. They arrived on time and stuck to our tight timeline without any stress. They were so accommodating, professional and fun to hang out with and everyone's hair and makeup looked amazing. I would definitely recommend Wed Lox in the future.
