Always a pleasure to visit this store. Manager is helpful and knowledgeable. Charming too. Prices are great and quality is excellent. It's a neighborhood gem and I hope it will be here for many years to come!

They have everything you need and at great prices. I only get my grains and nuts from here also lots of medicinal plants and herbs. Highly recommended. The owners are friendly and just amazing people, knowledgeable and helpful.

If you are a restauranteur in need of specialized spices or a home chef that likes to throw it down in the kitchen, you have to incorporate East India Company's products and services into your grocery shopping routine! The quality of their wholesale and retail products cannot be surpassed. Moreover, the fact that they are a multi-generational family owned business makes their business even sweeter! Highly recommend.

It was sad to hear when East India Company had a fire last year and had to renovate. I was one of the first ones to go back once it reopened and they have made some amazing changes. The whole place has been reorganized/redesigned and the service you get from Ravi, Sapna and team is like your with family. They take their time and make sure your getting the highest quality ingredients, and everything that you will need at great prices. I will be back!

Exceptional Service !!!I live in Chicago, USA and found out that East India Co. are the exclusive distributors in Canada of a favorite chutney of mine not available in the US (Fern's Prawn Balichow). Ravi Jain and his team went out of their way to assess the best way to have a few jars delivered to the U.S. even though as distributors they usually tend to deal in pallet-loads.At the end, we arranged for the products to be brought over by a friend driving over to the U.S. I was most impressed with how responsive Ravi and his team was to my unusual request to have a few jars of a product my family and I enjoyed when we previously lived in Australia !

BEWARE OF THIS SHOP SELLING EXPIRED ITEMS!!! I found this shop through google with good reviews but, only to find them they sold me the expired item (see attached images clearly). Spent almost 30mins to drive from Yonge/Sheppard to this shop and really frustrated when I saw this expired item when I came back home. Are you guys did this by mistake or was intentional ?? Im not asking for the refund but, I want the community to be aware of this before they shop for any items here.

You will find just about every Asian spice you can think of at this shop.The quality is good and the staff are very friendly. They also have fresh Indian sweets and snacks like samosas.While it is listed as a Wholesaler they do have a front end retail outlet.

One of my favourite stores EVER. Rows upon rows of spices, many familiar some not. If you ever come across a recipe and wonder where you can get that Szechuan peppercorn, or whole nutmeg, or chick pea flour, this is the place. I always pick up something extra while I'm there, like frozen naan, or veggie samosas.
