This is probably the coziest and most it-girl feeling consignment store in Calgary. The design/decor, colours, and layout of the shop is warm and inviting. The racks are spaced in a way that the shopping feels intimate/private (great for introverts like me!) without feeling closed off. They have a great consignment contract and points system, I especially like that you can choose to have your items returned to you at the end of the season. The accessories and home goods (secondhand and small brand new goods) are curated really well. It’s hard not to want to purchase everything. The size range is really excellent and marked/labeled consistently and you can see a lot of care goes into making the shopping experience pleasant. The change rooms are large and there are tons of beautiful mirrors around the store if you’re trying shoes or coats or accessories. I loved overhearing the owner coaching and elevating her team member as I was shopping, you can tell she really loves what she does. The little touches like custom recyclable price labels pinned with tiny safety pins instead of environmentally damaging plastic tags, the upcycled/refinished furniture brought back to life, well loved and cared-for displays, the personal way your drop offs are counted and handled are something really unique. Everything in the shop is accessible for mobility limitations and plenty of space for assistive devices. For those with sensory triggers or limitations, the music is quiet, the temperature is good, and there are no strong perfumed/scented items burning/misting/etc. There’s a sustainability, a welcomeness, and conscientiousness to this boutique that sets it apart in the second-life fashion business and if you’re not local to the city, I recommend planning a visit the next time you’re passing through.

By far my favourite consignment store. Anna (the owner) is simply amazing. She cares so much and you can really feel that in every detail of the store. The clothing options she has are vast so everyone can find something special. The atmosphere is so inviting you can shop in there forever!

i absolutely love article apparels! i live an hour south of calgary and every time i am in the city i always make sure to stop by here. anna is absolutely incredible and such a genuine human. the selection of clothes and accessories in-store is amazing and diverse and i always come out with something i love. plus, the layout and interior design of the store is gorgeous. if you’re ever in the area article apparels is a must-visit!

The best consignment store in the city! I drive over a half hour to consign and shop here and it’s so worth it. Beautiful selection of current clothes at such great prices and inclusive sizing with lots of items M and over or shoes 8 and up which is so hard to find in consignment stores!! Owner is such a sweetheart and amazing to deal with while consigning. Have recommended to all my friends and family!
