nouveau palais is my childhood. I remember it being one of the first restaurants we went to when my family moved to Montreal. 10+ years later and it's still a lovely mile end establishment serving up great food and even better vibes. The food is great. You really can't go wrong with a palace hamburger. The waiters have always been lovely and the vibes are just unmatched. Great music, dim lights and a simple old fashioned look make NP a great place to spend the evening.

Best classic burger in Montréal, and great fries! Ambiance is awesomely unique.Edit to add: ordered dessert to go and it was taking a little long. Staff apologized for the wait and asked if I wanted something (for free) while I waited. Wouldn’t have added this, except I saw some negative reviews about service!

Always tasty and good!4 stars because since its an old restaurant with vintage furnitures, its not fat friendly for folks who have a belly; its not confortable because its not possible to move the furnitures.

I was very surprised the quality of the food from this neighborhood restaurant.They don't have a very big menu but there foods were all homemade. And everything that we ordered were very delicious and on point. There oysters were super fresh and they shucked very well. There homemade Ceasar salad was very delicious too. Not to mention, the mussels and fries are good too. The cocktails were very good (nothing very special but the prices were very reasonable). We did have a very good time in this restaurant.The only thing that I have to point out is there decorations, there isn't much ambiance" and it does need a good renovation.I highly recommend this place if you want something not too expensive or fancy but with a good food menu."

Common folk need not pay a kings ransom for this regal cuisine.A grandiose, succulent, exquisitely cooked beef patty provides consistently superior mouthfuls bite after bite.Majestic as the sauce is; it does not rule outright. Instead sharing power with an equally noble array of seasoning and sumptuous toppings. An establishement deserving of its place among burger royalty.

I really like their burger! Beef is well-cooked and juicy, and bread is perfectly toasted. The salad is well seasoned too (cuz I don’t eat fries so I changed it to salad).The only pity is that Mac n cheese didn’t reach my expectation (or maybe I set it too high). Well...it tasted pretty good, but I think it could be warmer.The dining environment is pretty dark and they don’t have much lights, but it’s not a big deal. The staff is very kind and friendly.Overall, it’s a good choice to have a yum and comfortable meal with friends. They also have many alcohol options, from cidre, bottled beer to strong liquids.

Nouveau Palais’ comfort food is nothing close to comforting. This place has everything you may be looking for as in: cool vibe, hip decor, and late hours; yet in a weird unsettling way the food and drinks are simply under par. The Burger might save itself, but not at that price tag. In addition, drinks are serves in miniature glasses, worthy of an elementary school cafeteria.

If you’re only going to eat, it has extremely mediocre food especially for the price. The fried chicken is honestly worse than even IGA fried chicken. Burger is as meh as it gets.Ambiance is nice and the music is cool, but the food is so bland. No sense in going here given how many amazing restaurants are in the area.
