Mitzuyan Kosher Catering

I am very happy that I chose Mitzuyan Kosher Catering from all the other kosher caterers in Toronto. As a single mother with three children my options were limited. Norman went out of his way to design a catering option that I could offered. The bat mitzvah he designed for us was a huge success. The food was delicious and presented beautifully.He found me an affordable event venue and vendors that could give me a substantial discount for their services. Thank you Norman for giving my family the opportunity to celebrate this special day.

We had an event at our synagogue and Mitzuyan was the caterer. The food cooked by Norman and his team was amazing. People didn't stop complimenting the food; they couldn't believe how fresh and tasty everything was. We chose stations - something we wanted even before knowing who would cater the event. While stations can be a bit more expensive, the variety and quantity of food was great and the wide variety of station options offered by Mitzuyan was wonderful. We chose Greek, Italian and fish stations, and each one was amazing. The kids foods (served at the tables) was also very fresh and plentiful (too plentiful :) ). And, if you need some help with your event, Marla and Norm (the husband and wife team also own the Avenue Banquet Hall) are eager to provide advice, introduce other vendors (DJ, photographer, etc.), help out with logistics and provide some event planning. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

We didn't get to enjoy the food personally because this was a shiva dinner, but the comments we got from our family were over the top as to both quality and quantity. And staff were very accommodating to confirm and communicate any questions.

Mitzuyan catered our kosher wedding in August 2020. Marla went well beyond the food. She helped us plan the whole day out and connected us with great vendors for flowers, decor, wedding cake, etc.The food was abundant. We could have fed twice as many people as we had. It was fresh. It was tasty and well presented. And it was creative given the constraints of serving food at a wedding with COVID safety measures being taken.They did a great job.

Marla and the team at Mitzuyan catered my daughter's wedding this past weekend. The food was incredible and the portions huge! My guests are still calling and telling me how wonderful everything tasted.Marla's help with the wedding planning was the icing on the cake! Everything ran smoothly during the event and I was able to have a wonderful, stress-free day. She even made sure that we all had time to eat!Thank you Marla and Mitzuyan for your patience, hard work and fabulous food!

We just had an outdoor kosher barbecue and Mitzuyan took care of the catering and I couldn't have been happier. The portions were large, the service was excellent and everything looked and tasted delicious. We had hambugers, veggie burgers, hot dogs, salads, corn and potato wedges (big hit!) and the crowd was very happy. Marla was easy to work with and got things done quickly for us. I gave her less than two week's notice but she managed to pull everything together and I was thrilled. Thank you a million times over! I will definitely use them again and recommend them for other meals or parties.

COVID has caused us to change our wedding planning a great deal over the past 3 years, and when we ultimately decided to go through with a smaller outdoor ceremony in my parents' backyard, Mitzuyan did a fantastic job with the catering. Marla worked patiently with us as we went back and forth to create our ideal ceremony menu that would still be tasty in a backyard setting without access to a kitchen, and helped us curate some wonderful hors d'oeuvres and mains that would suit our needs. We greatly appreciated her honesty and recommendations in terms of what would work better in practice without kitchen access - we were pleased that she could give us workable options rather than promise something that ultimately could not be delivered.With the pandemic we erred on the side of caution and opted to go with individually boxed meals, which meant that every person had a box of assorted hors d'oeuvres, a box with a salad and garlic knot (AMAZING), and a box with a main course (chicken piccata for meat eaters and stuffed acorn squash for the vegetarians), not to mention brownies for dessert. It was amazingly packaged and the food was delectable - guests were raving, especially about the potatoes. The hors d'oeuvres were huge and the entire meal was plentiful - we definitely feel like we got our money's worth of food. Marla, Norman, and their hand-selected wait staff are a well-trained machine and I would absolutely not hesitate to order food from them again on other occasions.

My daughter's wedding was very special because of Mitzuyan Kosher Catering. Our family is vegetarian with many health and dietary issues. Norman, the owner was very accommodating and created a fabulous kosher vegetarian dinner and made sure that all the dietary restrictions were adhered to. The food was delicious and the service was superb. All our guests kept raving about the kosher food and were amazed that kosher vegetarian could be so good. The dinner satisfied the meat eaters.Thank you Norman. I highly recommend Mitzuyan.

This is as the best choice I could have made for my wedding! Not only was the food absolutely delicious, Marla Kay was instrumental in making the day go smoothly! Marla comes with years of knowledge and really good quality contacts. She coordinated with the vendors. I would recommend this Kosher Caterer to anyone who is have a kosher event. Everything was easy. The price was right. The food was INCREDIBLE - I was able to provide my guests with a variety of options, and this caterer was so accommodating to various dietary needs. People are still talking about the wonderful food. Marla was amazing!

Best choice we made was to hire Mitzuyan as our kosher wedding caterer.The food was delicious and beautifully presented. It tasted the same as it did in our tasting. No surprises. The execution of the meal at the event venue was flawless. They created a kosher kitchen which did not exist before. Very professional and reasonable. Highly recommend them.
