My husband and I just left from our first visit to Cause & Effect and we will definitely be back! Our server, Dali, was super friendly and the service was nice and quick (given it wasn’t very busy at the time). The food was delicious and she informed us that they change/update the menu fairly regularly, so I am excited to see what new items they add and try new things to keep it interesting. I can’t wait to come back in the summer and enjoy the beautiful patio!

Food was hot & tasty! Served in a timely manner. Waitress was super friendly & checked in on us several times. Prices were decent. I really like the sweet potato fries.

Food was decent, although very inconsistent in the size of oysters. The service is really good and the atmosphere is nice. It's nice that they can open up the big windows and doors and let the air in. I'd go back! The C&E Pilsner was terrible.

This is the second time we’ve come where they advertised oysters for Mondays but there wasn’t any available. Our bad for not calling ahead of time. The first time, we arrived and the host told us there was oysters available. After we were seated we were told they ran out. Do you ever have oysters at all or is this a marketing ploy to bring people into the restaurant?Chicken wings were tiny. Chicken sandwich was ok, not great not terrible. Fish and chips were good (could use a little more salt, but this is personal preference). Brussels sprouts were good.We also ordered a pitcher of white sangria. We got two cups out of it. Cost $26 for the pitcher but a single glass was $10? (But we suspect there would have been more ice in the single serving)We’re really disappointed with the food.The only good thing was the service, our server was super nice and we didn’t have any issues with her.

There was a leafs game and place was extremely noisy. Cocktails were good and service, our server was Dona, was amazing. The ambiance of the place is also not very suitable for special occasions, business meal and/or date. It can be described as a casual diner with large selection of cocktails. We tried some starters to share; Brussels styling on the plate was not the best but it was just delicious - strongly recommended.

A few co workers and I went to this establishment tonight after a long 12 hour day shift! We all were very happy with our server Tina she was amazing and because of her we will definitely be coming back with many more coworkers friends and family, needless to say we are very satisfied and definitely recommend this place. Great service (Tina and the bartender, didn't get his name but he was also great) food was amazing, cheap house beer and taste really good only for $5 pint! Open late, might actually be my new spot! Loved the experience we had! Overall 10/10!!!

Went on a Wednesday for the app deal. Service was great. Atmosphere was nice, patio was quiet and shaded. That's about all the good I can say. There was stuff floating in our water. The beer was flat and tasted off, likewise with the pop. The wings looked good, but were overcooked. I normally like them well done / crispy, but these were cooked to the point of drying out. The mild wing sauce had no flavor at all, and the med tasted like really watery ketchup with just a splash of heat. Neither really had enough flavor to make up for the dried up wings. For the prices we definitely expected more. Might be a great place to go for a drink on the patio, but I know we won't be returning.

I would give this place a 4 star but i know they’re better than that based on the season and time you go. They have an amazing seating for patio and place to go with large group of friends to hang out with lots of drinks options and food.I got chicken sandwich which was very dry, i asked for chipotle to finish the rest after the first bite. My friends got different food and also said the food wasn’t that good.Overall, friendly team and relaxing. I might try it again in a summer night or a more happening night for drinks and shareables.

Went for martinis and app.. martinis were made great. The app crab cakes..17$ extremely small.. I didn't get a picture, but for 3 of them for 17$, it was a rip-off for the size.. I'm not sure I'd return here for the price I paid for 3 crab cakes to share. Don't get me wrong, they tasted ok, but 17$ worth I wouldn't return. I've been to other places with crab cakes for 6 this small size for the same price.. service was good, our server was very nice and happy and helpful, but the price I can't say I'd come back for food. All in all, it's an ok place, but way too much money for crab cakes. I feel like I could have bought 24 from Costco for less than I just paid for 3. But all in all, the service was good.

The food was pretty basic-pub fare type food.We ordered a bunch of different sharable apps.The drinks were awesome!The staff were very friendly and helpful even though it was only her second shift.
