What we liked here: Chicken 65, dosa. What we didn’t like: Idly which was a bit hard and Kothu Parotta which was a bit too dry. The sambar wasn’t that great too.

A goof Indian restaurant in the heart of Spandau!700 meters from the S+U Rathaus Spandau, Shankara offers fine dine-in of Indian cuisine. It is spacious with good interiors and prompt service. We had ordered from the Tageskarte that's special discount on few selected dishes only on lunch. I loved the complementary linsensuppe. The food was quite tasty and served in good quantity as well. The tariff rate is okayish but yea if you available the lunch menu, it is super cheap and easy goes easy on your pocket. They have a wide range of long drinks as well.

We have ordered Chicken Kothu Roti, Kerala Meen Kulambu & Mutton Curry. Everything was really tasty and the spice level was also perfect. Must try dish was Kerala Fish Curry n It's authentic Kerala preparation.

Excellent, fresh and tasty food! So many good options, fair price, good location near S bahn Spandau and friendly staff! One of the best Indian restaurants i have been in this city, that unfortunately doesn’t count with many indian spots as in London… I’m coming again for sure!

Worst service ever in Berlin. Haven’t seen such a rude waiter in my entire stay in Berlin. Food was ok. Absolutely unfriendly staff. Food was delivered late, in intermittent steps. The waiter had the audacity to ask the guests to pay and leave while we were still eating. Never ever go to this place.

Best South indian food in Berlin. Since last year it has become my go-to place for late lunch or dinner. Average price and authentic taste. North Indian options are good too. I would always prefer south indian options here.

I stumbled across this place by accident and thought I would give it a try. The food was very good,the staff very friendly and the restaurant clean and hygeinic. Prices are not high and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Will definetely return when back in the area.

We landed at the restaurant by accident, but the experience was really good. The atmosphere was pleasant, the staff were so friendly and professional. The food tasted really delicious and we had a very big feast for our lunch today. Non veg served had a real south Indian touch to it with all the spices and masalas. My favorite among them was parotta, salna, chicken rasam and Kerry dosas. Overall a much recommended place, and it would be better if we could reserve a table if we are a group.

This is a place that can easily become a go to stop for South Indian food! Really authentic South Indian food in Berlin, specially in Spandau. The food tastes exactly like any other excellent restaurant in India. Not too hard on the wallet, affordable delicious food.The chefs are from Tamil Nadu which makes it even more authentic Chettinad cuisine.Highly recommend this place to anyone who is craving for yummy chicken varieties.My recommendations:Chicken 65 - tastes exactly like street food style chicken kabab (Bangalore street style)Dum biryani - Amazing taste and flavorsKoli Kari Dosai - traditional chicken curry and dosas just like from Tamil NaduChicken fry - Indian style fried chickenVery tasty and affordable food!(Cost for 2 ppl Approx €30)

It is very rare to find such a nice Indian restaurant in Berlin city suburb. It is by far the best Indian restaurant I tried in Berlin. Almost all of their curries and appetizers are tasty and based on your spice appetite, they can moderate.They probably can increase choice of hard drinks and bear but otherwise a great authentic Indian restaurant.
