Took my mom for a night away for a change of scenery. Front desk was moderately friendly, but didn’t go out of their way to make us feel welcome. The spa cafe server made an error with our lunch order and we were charged for the error. The room overlooked the falls and the bed was comfortable but room was dated. It was clean and smelled nice. The friendliest staff person was working outside in the gardens.

I came to the Millcroft for a spa day. The spa itself and pools did not disappoint! The girl at the front desk was kind and welcoming. The robes are luxurious. The only let down was lunch at the cafe. It was so much of a let down that I would consider bringing my own lunch next time. If you are a healthy eater, you cannot sub a salad for chips with your lunch. You must instead buy a salad at a premium. I got a small, very basic turkey wrap. No chips. One 6 Oz glass of wine. It cost roughly 50 dollars. Now I don’t mind spending a premium when the food is interesting and healthy, and this was actually outrageous. Service was good, so no issues there. I could get a sandwich like this at a high school cafeteria. To be frank, I expected better.

It’s a beautiful place for a weekend getaway. The queen bed room with fireplace and private hot tub was beyond expectation! (room 108!)My overall impression was marred by housekeeping and general manager Lynn’s response to an otherwise very minor issue - which unfortunately was handled poorly and has me questioning the $1,000+ I gave them for my one night stay, meals and spa. It’s the small things done well that warrant top-notch 5-star ratings - sorry Millcroft Inn, you were close to being the premium high-end get-way worth the money that others rave about.

Very nice place , could use some maintenance and upkeep, cut the weeds etc, room was nice, cold air conditioning, bed not so comfy, pools area were nice but kind of dirty water... steamroom great, sauna great, friendly service but quite slow restaurant service. Massage was amazing . Overall was a nice 1 day getaway, met some nice people. Maybe a ghost visitor from the old mill time days??

We stayed at the Millcroft for the first time for a wedding that we attended nearby. First off, I will say that there amenities and spa etc. are probably beautiful but we were just there for the night and didn’t have time to take advantage of any of them. I’m sure if you’re going for the spa experience it is lovely but I wouldn’t recommend staying there for somewhere you’re just using as a hotel. Our room (310 in the main building) was disturbingly gross. Our shower dripped nonstop and I’m guessing it was a handicap accessible room which meant the water dripping from the shower just caused the entire bathroom floor to be wet at all times. We had to lay towels on the floor to avoid slipping. The toilet wasn’t secured to the wall and there was rust and corrosion throughout the entire bathroom. The one pot light was hanging from the ceiling and the bathroom really just made you feel like you were in a university dorm room. The rest of the room looked nothing like the pictures…random holes in the ceiling and the walls looked like they were cracked all over. The bed was small and uncomfortable, as were the pillows. Aside from our rooms conditions, the staff were friendly, helpful and mostly accommodating. I can’t say I’d ever stay at the Millcroft again considering there are many other similar style spa resorts with exceptional room conditions. The price is simply just too high for what you get there.

Sam, Angelica and the supervisor are disappointing as customer service. A group of us booked massages and hours prior, I called to ask to move the massage time because the traffic on the highway was jam packed. When we showed up, they told my sister that she was too late even though she had time left on her massage. They made her wait around and missed her massage and did not even refund it. I'm so upset by this, 0/0 for customer service. They told us, even if there's an available spot on the same day, they would make us pay again. They were not flexible or accommodating at all! We asked them to look into it, and they didn't. I will NEVER come back and I will be sharing my horrible experience with others. We asked for a raincheck for the following day, or if anything could be done and they said no.

If you are looking for a relaxing weekend away, be aware that the spa allows children. The young boys jumping, splashing around, being regular kids had a great time. Though it was not exactly what we were looking for. Should have gone to the holiday inn... I would not recommend coming here unless you live conveniently nearby.

My mom and I spent the day here, it was lovely. Our RMTs were kind and gave a great massage. We enjoyed the majority of the rest of the day lounging by the pools, rotating between hot and cold, and enjoying the saunas. The grounds are beautiful and all the staff are friendly, it was so relaxing and rejuvenating. My only feedback would be to add more shady lounging areas for sun-sensitive folks like myself. We will definitely be back!

I stayed here in the Croft with Private Hot-Tub for 2 nights with my partner for our Anniversary. We were given a complimentary bottle of wine. We also had a small fee of $15 to pay for a complimentary breakfast, which would have cost much more.I would not call the accommodation LUXURY and found the front desk staff of the hotel to be flippant and unhelpful. The croft room is rustic and suitable for 2 people. The in-floor heating control was confusing. Someone put the instructions on the wall, but they weren't working. The bathroom floor was so hot, that my partner, who didn't wear slippers because the floor was heated, got mild burns on his feet after using the room for 2 nights. When we brought this up upon check-out, the front desk manager was dismissive and stated it was OUR responsibility as guests to contact maintenance and have that fixed before we check out and no offer to have a maintenance person visit the room to check now that it was vacant. Room 113.Further, the door to the outside patio where the hot-tub is located was extremely difficult to lock and unlock. We had to hip-check it several times to get out, and again to get back in, because the door would not close unless it was locked. In addition to this being an inconvenience, it's also a fire hazard in case the front door is blocked, you need a second viable exit. We are two young, able-bodied adults and were able to work around it.Again, the front desk manager and her staff were extremely dismissive and blamed us for not coming to them about it sooner, instead of taking the comment and feedback and using it to improve the stay of future guests. We did not want compensation, we wanted to be listened to and heard. We did not want maintenance staff taking over our private space to fix issues, or move all of our things since it was just a short stay and we wanted to relax. They also came into our room for Turn-Down Service between 5:30 - 6:00 even though I already asked them to opt-us out. We were in a compromising position which I found extremely invasive. During this time ON OUR ANNIVERSARY we do not want staff in and out of our PRIVATE accommodation that we paid a lot of money for, when I want to be naked, getting a shower or other romantic things with my partner. The staff did not seem to understand or respect that and I will not be returning to this establishment, NOR recommending that anyone step foot here.Other minor issues:-hot springs not working at spa (limited heat in spring when it's greatly needed and advertised)-hot tub jets not working (no one could fix it)-screws falling out of the table in the room and legs falling off when we try to use it-visible grime in the private hot-tub before use-dried food stuck to carpet in the bedroom upon arrival-coffee cups in the room were cracked and leaked coffee on meAlso, for those who like strong water pressure in your shower, don't come here.I spoke directly with the front desk manager" before we left. She wasn't wearing a name tag and this person interrupted us during and blamed me for bringing it to her attention and not reporting directly to maintenance. She and her colleague both ganged up on us and blamed us for not knowing that the printed directions we followed were incorrect on the rooms heating control and resulted in injury and somehow their poor direction was our fault. There was no concern for our safety. I was offered a $200 gift card after leaving an online review and was contacted through email. I declined the voucher and will not be visiting any Vintage Hotel chains in the future."

We had a portion of our wedding at Millcroft. It is absolutely beautiful, I have some of the most beautiful photos of us as a couple here that I will cherish forever. There were many flowers, a patio by the waterfall, lovely ruins next to the river/waterfall, beautiful gardens with flowers and gazebos. Very picturesque. They had a fantastic budget friendly" option for a small Friday ceremony which hit all of our needs. We had a planner/coordinator (as we lived out of town) who was good during planning but MIA during the actual wedding day which was odd as when our vendors arrived they had no one to meet them or contact them to show them where to go so they were frantically calling me (who was getting ready). I had also asked to be in a room with a balcony so they provided me a bridal suite in the main budling. It has an amazing balcony overlooking the waterfall but is VERY small and very dark so it wasn't great to get any getting ready photos done in. The planner had put my father in another newer building that had a balcony
