Very bad service! Your tax returns are in hands of non- caring system! The office operation and service is unprofessional! The representatives are not trained well in how to handle frustrating situations. You ask for a supervisor or manager they dont follow the escalation process! They do their best to avoid escalations when they themselves fail in providing professional service!! Long waits, untrained employees, and a messed up system!

I was informed of a 30-35min wait time. Victor answered within 15min and was very friendly and knowledgeable. I had a couple requests that he fulfilled by writing an additional email and double-checking the correct information was being mailed to me. I received excellent service and I feel like recently there have been some improvements made to response times.

Phone line says “offices are currently closed”..during business hours. Happened to me two days this week. Anyone else experience this?

For the life of me, there has to be a way to communicate electronically via email or a secured messaging system in 2021... no one has the time to wait hours to (maybe) speak with someone who (maybe) will be able to help. Please beef up your IT capabilities and give people another option to reach out to you than an antiquated phone queue.

Didn't have to deal with the agency except for a few time for personal and work related matters and honestly i always got my answers in a timely fashion. I did have to wait for a few minutes (less then 10 minutes I am sure) but now a days you wait when you call customer service everywhere and sometimes these big telecom companies keep you waiting for hours on end just to get rid of your call. Anyways, no complaints here against CRA.

Worst service ever. Can never get through the line; the cue is always busy no matter what day of the week you call or what time of the day you call. You can't even stay on the line to wait. You're forced to hang up and try again later". When i finally got through to a person (after being transferred to the "specialist" in my area of inquiry)

Spent 30 minutes on hold (super fast for CRA actually - lucky me!), then was transferred to another agent, for whom I'd been waiting for 2 hours on hold. A representative finally answered, told me they need to check something, put me on hold (+ other 15 minutes of wait), and then they simply hang up on me.I would've given 2 stars, but I think no goodbye is rude, so only 1. Sorry. Like really - how can you just hang up on someone waiting for you for half a day?Issue's not resolved, 3 hours wasted, no will to repeat it again. Get more people dear CRA and train them well, call back or simply make ALL services available online.

For such an important service the phone etiquette is TRASH. I've played phone tag with these officers" all morning that froze my bank account and won't answer my calls.Yup they left me stranded with no money. Thanks again for your HORRIBLE SERVICE."

Really doubt this will help since every review is essentially negative anyway but how can you hold people accountable for payments and refunds where you charge interest and will hurt people’s credit when you can’t answer your phone when people are trying to get assistance in paying YOU. I’ve been calling every day for about a week now I’ve called about 10 times a day- most of the time it says the queue is full and to call back later ( after you’ve already wasted 3 minutes with the slow key prompts) or if you get through it hangs up on you after an hour or two of waiting. Then you call back and of course the queue is full. I would love to meet someone who actually got through to the CRA because it seems thats more rare then winning a lottery. I know it’s not the reps faults that work there and understand it’s busy but then if you can’t help maybe you should at least do something like postpone interest accumulation until you get to the point where your centre doesn’t have to close queues. Otherwise right now we are stuck and can’t do anything if your queues are closed.

Man....I was really disappointed to discover that I got to mail my corporate tax return to the Sudbury Tax Centre. My internet filing of my corporate tax return got rejected.All CRA offices are no longer accepting paper filing of tax returns, so the paper tax returns have to be mail to designated tax centres. CRA should make that information crystal clear on their website. This is the new normal during the pandemic.
