I can’t say enough about the Reena Sotropa in House Design Group, they go above and beyond for their clients, creating a space that reflects individual style and meets all the practical needs along the way. They stick with you from start to finish, down to the last detail…making what can be a daunting process appear seamless!I finally have a beautiful home that is truly “me!” ...I love coming home everyday!

I’ll make up for that with a review that I hope conveys my sincere respect and appreciation for Reena Sotropa In House Design Group.My elderly parents made the decision to buy a part-time residence in the city after spending 50 years in their Saskatchewan farm home. This represented a significant change for them, and there was no room for processes that would increase anxiety. I had no doubts with the decision to have Reena lead the charge on the front-facing pieces that would either make or break their transition: If my parents did not feel as comfortable in their city condo as they did on their farm, the entire move would be in jeopardy.Reena was presented with some challenging conditions. In addition to working remotely from Calgary for the most part, she had strict parameters to work within: comfort, accessibility and touches of home all needed to be included in a project that had strict deadlines and a budget that my parents were comfortable with. The thoughts of this change were overwhelming, but Reena’s approach made all the difference. She fully understood the importance of having comfortable and familiar surroundings and was able to do her homework in a way that made the prospect of this new home enjoyable rather than stressful. She was able to figure out what was important to them while at the same time reading between the lines to incorporate surprises that created excitement without sacrificing comfort and familiarity.Reena and her team were able to use some existing furniture pieces to maintain a homey feel and sourced new pieces to fill the gaps. Each new piece was chosen with an eye for how the piece would be used on a day-to-day basis, as well as ensuring a seamless combination of beauty and style. Reena came to Regina to oversee the installation of the new and previously loved furniture and I was amazed at how stunning the resulting blend was. Every room of the condo has touches of their personalities incorporated in some way, but the real show-stopper is the Family Wall Reena created using beautifully framed family photos, custom-made barnwood signs and hand-made needlepoint works.The sheer emotion of my parents when they walked in and saw their new home is something I will never forget. Reena and her team hit this project out of the park, not only with the final result, but also coming in on time and within budget. I absolutely credit Reena with making this transition an enjoyable one for my parents as they truly feel that they are at home when they spend time in their condo. I recommend Reena and her team to anyone who wants professional, personalized services not only for themselves, but who may be working on behalf of others. The talent, flexibility, empathy and professionalism displayed by Reena and her team are second to none.

I worked with Alanna on our basement renovation. I decided to use her design services on an as need basis which was great. Alanna was so helpful to assist with my interior selections and never made me feel like my job was too small for her. What I loved is that they charge in 15 min increments so for my budget this worked great. I met with Alanna a couple times to go through selections or would discuss via email. Sometimes you just need to check your choices with a professional. We're so happy with the results. I highly recommend Reena Sotropa In House Design Group and will definitely use them again.

I recently engaged the Reena Sotropa team to redesign my condo kitchen and the guest bathroom. We worked through several design options for the kitchen - all creative and interesting options with a bit of a challenging space. They were responsive, got to know me and provided recommendations that have me loving my space. It really is gorgeous and I had fun working with this fantastic team. Reena, Alanna, Cindy, and Patti were an excellent team to work with. We bought an older home and they helped with all interior design and furniture and decor selections. Alanna was our primary designer and she had great taste and so many great ideas. We are so thrilled with the outcome and love our new home as a result of all their hard work. They were professional, responsive, and worked well with us and our contractor. They were great problem solvers during several pandemic-related product delays, and helped us remain calm and on track throughout the process. The whole team had a great attitude and were always lovely to be around. We’re very thankful for their help, and would recommend them to family and friends in the future. A big thank you to Reena, Alanna, Cindy, Patti, and the rest of their team!

Simply put, Alanna is THE best! She has helped us over the last several years with furniture & lighting selections as well as styling & space planning. She always has unique recommendations to help keep our home looking it's best. She's also great at coming up with practical solutions for our family. I was fortunate enough to meet the Reena Sotropa team when they helped my in-laws rebuild their home after the 2013 flood, and they've essentially become our 'family design experts'. Alanna is always responsive to even the smallest question I have and is super patient when it takes me forever to respond. Love this team and would highly recommend working with them!

We hired Reena Sotropa In House Design to design and implement what turned out to be a full home renovation. After only several meetings to discuss our vision, Reena and Alanna absolutely got us and exactly what we were looking for. I was always so thrilled with their creativity and vision for our home and they artfully struck such a great balance between achieving the luxurious look we wanted and being cost effective when it made sense. Reena and Alanna also masterfully managed all of the contractors and schedule which made our renovation as seamless and painless as a renovation can possibly be. I wish I had more projects to send their way as they became an extension of our family for almost 3 years.

My husband and I hired Reena and her team when we were building our new home. Reena saved our project multiple times, and was able to consistently keep things on track. Her knowledge base, professionalism, honesty and work ethic are second to none. Together with her junior designers, she helped create a stunning home for us, which we still absolutely love. By far one of the best design teams in Calgary!! These ladies have exquisite taste and take the time to really understand your own personal style, and best of all . . . they know how to execute.I’ve had the pleasure of working with them on 2 projects. They turned our suburban traditional home into a sophisticated transitional oasis. Reena convinced me to paint out our dated woodwork and it was the best decision ever, I so appreciated her challenging me to take the leap of faith. They were also a delight to work with on a chic little townhouse project with tight timeline. They pulled out all the stops to furnish from top to bottom in record time. Alanna & Ania did a beautiful job with all the finishing touches and of course Patti kept us on time and on budget. Love these gals!
