If you want to pick out a dog you think is a lovely addition to your home, only to realize later on that you were lied to and the dog is a genetic mess that isn't mentally sound, this is your place.A family member of mine surrendered their dog, because it's food agression was so bad it attacked her and she had to go to the hospital.Pawr then ended up with the dog, and surprise surprise, they immediately found it a mare home and did NOT disclose its agression issues. If you want a mentally sound, healthy, well rounded dog for your home, I suggest going to an ethical breeder. Rescues that do not do behavioural euthanasia do not have the dogs best interest at heart by any means.

Absolutely fantastic experience! We took a stray kitten in and were immediately impressed by the clean reception area without any noticeable pet smells. The two staff members we dealt were incredibly nice amd very reassuring, helping us to fill out all the appropriate paperwork, one of them even telling us how she fosters kittens. When they brought the carrier back out to us they let us know that the kitten was already getting snuggles in the back while being fed. The weather was turning nasty that night so we were very relieved that the kitten would be warm and safe and in good hands. Thank you so much for all that you do!

I recently adopted a kitten at the pet and wildlife rescue, i had been told that the kitten was treated for ringworm and that he had fully recovered just after a week of treatment and that there’s nothing i need to worry about. Come to find out ringworm is hard to treat with animals and takes at least 2-4 weeks of constant treatment and quarantine for the cat to recover. He has now given my entire family and possibly my dog ringworm. This facility seems to like getting animals into new homes and lying about the process of getting rid of the illnesses and manipulating their clients. My cat was with about 4 other cats when I picked him up, so I can only imagine how far this has spread and how many other families are going to have to deal with this issue, let alone the vet bill being outrageous because of the cover up and lies we were told as well. It would have been nice to know the full story before hand, especially the wording of manipulation and gaslighting when told he had a “minor infection” and i had to ask many questions to get it out of the worker of what the infection was. I am now on medication, as well as my entire family. I think pet and wildlife needs to be accountable for informing their customers about the risks of ringworm instead of covering it up in deep manipulation and lies. my poor kitten is now having to stay away from the family for 2-4 weeks, and it’s the saddest thing i’ve ever had to witness. If you ask the veterinarians in chatham about their thoughts on PAWR they will go quiet and try to hold back on bashing and boycotting them for the many problems that they have caused, and continue to make without change.

Very friendly and very clean. They weren't that many cats as many were in Foster. But it's always an awesome visit when we come to visit from Windsor.

We met a couple at Michelle's Bay with a great older Jack Russell Terrier. While talking to them about how docile and well behaved he was, they said he was a rescue dog which they got at the rescue centre in Chatham on Park Ave. East. Since our little dog, Bailey died two days before Christmas 2021, we have been thinking of getting an older dog as our new best friend, so we popped on over to see this place and find out what is involved in the adoption of one of there dogs. The place was very clean and the lady we spoke with was very informative. It is still just a bit too soon to replace Bailey since he was like one of our sons and the hole in our heart has truly not healed as of yet. This Centre would be a fine place to get a new pet when the time comes.

Yo problem I have is once a month have a kkk person that calls them on my dog. After paying for license went pick up still charge me 60 or more dollars. Even charged me 240 dollars because dog goes nuts during fireworks and guns going off. Can't bring him in house destroy things and get sick. So starting to beleive they are funding the kkk as well if making million on low income poeple
