Very busy restaurant luckily we called in advance to reserve a tableThis is one of my favorite Shanghainese restaurant in RichmondXLB was juicyThe vegetable and mushroom inside vegetarian dumplings chopped very finely and super tastyThe pork bun was crispy on the outside and juicy insideGood portion and price is fair

Very delicious shanghainese! Ordered the crab roe XLB, came piping hot and full of soup goodness! A Must-order! Deep fried yellow fish has generous portion size- they must have 10 pieces in there!Preserved Cabbage fish dish was pretty good but there was too much peppercorn in the soup; always had 1 - 2 pieces in my spoon…very inconvenient. I would want to come back for lunch and try out other dim sum.Parking & seating were limited. Make sure to make reservation ahead of time. There’s meter parking along the street outside Sun Sui Wah.

Too pricy for the quality of food. A friend wanted to try this place. None of us had ever been here before. The service, cleanliness and location with good parking was great, but the food was underwhelming, sad to say.

We come here regularly for their delicious shanghai food. Lots of variety to choose from and good portions. Parking lot not that great though but you can park on the sidewalk (city meter parking). Check out the pictures of some of the food we ordered.

Authentic shaighain style dishes. Like all other restauranta price had gone way up. At least they kept their quality. Parking is challenging as stalls are small and other businesses eyeing patrons to ensure no one don't take their spots.

My favorite Shanghai cuisine place in Richmond, BC. Food is always delicious.Got KaoFu this time in the photo, and deep fried fish, two serves of soup dumpling (XiaoLongBao), one of them with crab meat; two serves of Nanjing pork buns. All very tasty, just forgot to take pictures.

I do not play around with Shanghainese food - it’s my favourite cuisine and I have strict expectations for it!! Yuan’s Garden is my go-to in Richmond. Decent prices and the classic dishes are good. The wonton chicken soup (砂鍋雲吞雞湯) is definitely the highlight, smooth creamy chicken broth with perfectly cooked dumplings and veggies. Just note the S size is quite big and L is for big groups. Classic stir fried rice cake (上海炒年糕) is my favourite dish so my standards are high - it’s actually well cooked here and is a good place to try it if it’s new for you. The pan fried pork buns (生煎包) is good here as well, comparable to the famous spot in Lansdowne. Xiaolongbao (小龍包) is decent here too, always hot. Tan tan noodles (擔擔麵) and hot and sour soup (海鮮酸辣湯) here comes out hot and tastes pretty good too. The two things I would never get here is the stir fried thick noodle because for some reason the noodles are undercooked and overall no flavour. The deep fried red bean paste pancake is also fry and bland, but it’s a difficult dish to make really good.

Pretty average Shanghainese restaurant. Been here a few times and the food is good, the pan fried buns are a highlight, everything else is ok. This place is busy so parking is a bit dicey and usually rushed to turnover the tables.
