Excellent seafood chowder. The drinks were great too. We met for a late lunch and the sett with a view was a great pick. The service was great, and the meal was well worth the visit.

I was worried at first as it was an hour wait on a Wednesday night for 3 people without a reservation, I AM SO GLAD we decide to squeeze in at the bar. Doug the bartender was on point and fabulous, along with all the other staff members. The food was outstanding, the snapper was cooked to perfection and the fry’s crisp but not over cooked. I also grabbed the seafood chowder, it was creamy and extremely fresh, only issue I had was boy it was hearty and a meal on its own which Doug warned me about. With the location right beside the pier, is is a location I would love to come back and try in the summer. To the blackfin team, thanks for a fantastic meal and experience.

6/20/23- pros and consWarning: DO NOT ORDER THE VEGETARIAN ENCHILADAS. They don't know how to cook enchiladas. The tortillas had too much dough. The ingredients were tiny. Practical nothing. It was severed dry, no sauce or anything. Server said they were new to the menu. You've been warned! While the views are great and theservice is very good (except for the front house manager at the hostess stand with brown hair, Barbara she's extremely rude). The blonde hair hostess is very nice and considerate. The halibut is huge and severed well. I've enclosed photos of both, but unfortunately I ate it before taking photos, and left what you see because there was really nothing left to eat or see. The halibut had 2 pieces.I might come back again, but please don't order anything that might be a foreign dish. It's terrible!!!!

Wasn’t impressed with the meal I had. I ordered the main course ribs. The vegetables were all bland but the ribs were good… I tend to expect more flavour when paying this price for a meal. The cheese cake was great. The staff here are not overly friendly in my experience. Not my favourite restaurant to dine in.

Friendly service. Kitchen was a little slow. The fish and chips was good. Seared salmon looked nice.

Oh, what an adventure I had at the illustrious Blackfin Pub in Comox, British Columbia! I was transported to a world of culinary perfection, where every bite was a symphony of flavors, and every sip was a dance of delight.Let me tell you about the ribs - succulent, fall-off-the-bone goodness that left my taste buds dancing with joy. The smoky, tangy BBQ sauce had just the right amount of kick to keep me coming back for more. Paired with an Espresso Martini, a decadent and invigorating concoction that awakened my senses and tantalized my palate, it was a match made in heaven. And just when I thought the experience couldn't get any better, I was presented with a slice of cheesecake that was pure heaven on a plate. The rich, creamy texture and perfect balance of sweetness were simply divine. But it wasn't just the food that made my visit to Blackfin Pub unforgettable. The atmosphere was simply electric, with a lively crowd and a staff that were attentive, warm, and welcoming. It was a true feast for the senses, and I can't wait to return to this culinary paradise

Lovely spot! First, I would like to say that our server was so wonderful. Unfortunately we forgot her name, but thank you!My husband and I decided to split the fish and chips and it was very good. On the heavier side, but I find that’s the case with fish and chips in general, and it was all delicious regardless. For dessert we ordered the mud pie and key lime pie. Both amazing. I have never had key lime pie before, so I have nothing to compare it with, but loved it.

I wish I had listened to my brother and sister-in-law and ordered the halibut fish and chips. Instead I ordered the seafood enchilada, which was okay but the sauce overpowered any flavour of seafood. The Caesar salad was tasty. It’s a lovely restaurant with an amazing view.Service was good and the servers were attentive.I’d recommend checking them out but I’d avoid the enchiladas and stick with fish and chips or the chowder. They have a good selection and diversity of beer on tap, which is always nice.
