Orkin Canada Pest Control

I am a former employee of this specific office; and was dealing with workplace harassment, discrimination and prejudice. They act very friendly, but when you stand up for yourself to someone in power who is abusive towards you, they gang up on you and fire you. This company was very disorganized, the environment was very hostile, I received no proper training and was yelled at, sworn at and had my Boss Sam hit her desk in anger outbursts. Due to walking out in fear of her and her abuse of power, I was fired due to “not being able to take orders from the boss” when reaching out to someone higher up for help about the situations. Don’t exercise your right to a safe workplace free from harassment , if you are worried about job security at this company.

Dave, the Orkin technician, did a great job. He was friendly, professional and took the time to go the extra mile and do an excellent job.

The worker came out and spoke to me, surveyed and removed any cleaned any existing webs. Then he carefully applied the treatments and then met me to sign off. Wonderful service!

We had a shaky start when the appointment was not confirmed, and then found to have not been booked at all. The second attempt was much more successful, and Colleen did a great job getting everything organizedMitch arrived within the designated timeframe and was friendly and professional. One week later, and no ants.Very pleased, and good value for the money.

Spray was just completed so I can’t speak on the results but I do have to say that the customer service rep I spoke to was awesome. It was my third time calling just because I couldn’t decide if and when I wanted to do it. The first couple of people I spoke to gave me a different price than what I was getting the third time around. I luckily had proof and even though they didn’t have to, they honoured the precious price. This lady was very professional and took care of my concerns. I think her name was Colleen santos. Thank you for the easy booking. Also the guy was there at 8am sharp when the window was 8am -10am. Appreciate the punctuality. His name I believe was David. Would recommend this company again. Hopefully the bugs go away!!

When asked to do a customer service review stating that it was private, I gave my honest opinion. Which was that the technician stated that he didn't look at the kitchen area bc it was blocked. (It was not) They come in monthly to do this. Next, I got the technician angrily calling me stating that he did change it (he did not, there was a piece of plastic bag that had gotten partially stuck on the trap and had been there for 2 months) If this was supposed to be private then why was the tech calling me? The tech also used my dishes to put fly trap chemicals in instead of using theirs. Not impressed with the tech or their privacy". We had a different tech come in once when our regular guy was on vacation. He was excellent."

To be honest I’m a little disappointed with my service with Orkin. I initially made my appointment with them because of how fast they could get me in. It turns out the appointment that I made, they never put me in the system and I waited during the 4 hour window to have no one show up. When I called, they couldn’t find me in the system and I guess the lady who took down my information never made my appointment as she was experiencing a “hectic week.” I asked to speak to the manager, and of course she was not able to provide me with the number. I rescheduled another appointment and they shortened my appointment window to a 2 hour gap but I have still yet to hear from the manager. They gave me a small discount which doesn’t even come close to the wage loss of the 6 hours I had to take off work for this appointment. I had no issues with the technician, he was great but overall I am disappointed. I went with this company instead of Abell Pest Control as the rescheduled second appointment was still faster than what Abell was able to get me in at. It’s worth it to wait and go with a different company who is reliable and values their customers time.

Our technician, Frank, was awesome. He was very professional and actually paid attention to our issue. My partner is allergic to fleas and I feel like Frank took it seriously. It took several treatments due to our infestation (absolutely NOT due to any negligence on Frank's part at all) and having to deal with the flea allergies but each visit saw a huge decrease in the number of fleas. I wish we had just called Orkin first instead of trying to deal with the fleas ourselves with sprays from the pet store. Well worth the cost for sure. It was also great that we had the same te hnician each time and he remembered our house so he remembered what he did last time. He also made sure to ask every time where we noticed the fleas most and spent extra time there. If we have fleas again we will definitely call Orkin first!

I have been battling mice for a few years and finally decided I needed professionals. Andrew called ahead, arrived on time, looked professional and acted professionally. He was friendly, reassuring, knowledgeable and constantly working as he talked. He explained everything he was doing as he was going about his business. There will be two follow up appointments and even though he just left I already feel so much better. I even went and pitched out all the mouse poison I had. Thank you so….much!! Val

Our Technician; David - was on-time, extremely knowledgeable and very kind. Any questions we had he answered and set our mind at ease! Office Admin were very helpful and accommodating.
