We had to visit this animal hospital recently when our 12 year old dog's health began deteriorating rapidly. Unfortunately, we did have to put her down in the end, which was one of the most difficult decisions to make. It was a terrible day, ice storm and all. However, the service, compassion and all around dedication of the on site veterinarian and team were amazing. I took solace in knowing that she was in such caring hands at the end of her life. The vet provided us with a quiet room to spend some time with her before she passed, and my husband was able to drive back to Orleans to pick up our son so we could all say goodbye, we never felt rushed.I truly could not be happier with how we were treated, from the front desk to the rapid response from the team to the after care. At no point did I feel like we were discounted in our grief or that the team had any motives other than doing what was best for our pet. In fact we just received a lovely sympathy note in the mail, which really solidifies how wonderful the team is.Thank you so much for helping us at such an emotional time.

My dog and I just had the best care from them all weekend. He was kicked in the eye by one of my horses and they took him right away. Everyone from start to finish were amazing; the front staff, the techs, the vets, the specialists etc.. everyone was so kind, clear and helpful. The quality of client service was extremely high and they constantly kept me in the loop. The tech who initially saw Riley was finishing up her shift and came to see me to advise she was leaving and also to show me a pic of my baby she took on her phone ❤️ that level of compassion is amazing and made me know he was in the right place. I am so thankful to have had their service, especially during this crisis in the industry with lack of staff and overflow of animals. Thank you so much for taking great care of my baby and me ❤️ people complaining about the prices need to realize that these days vet medicine is a privilege and not a right.

I will never go to another vet. The love and compassion you showed when I brought my beloved boy in to be put to sleep was beyond amazing. Each and every staff member went above and beyond, was so nice and friendly and compassionate. The employees at the front desk, who were not even dealing with me, offered to get me anything I needed. Today was one of the hardest days of my life, and because of your employees it helped so much. I wish I got each and every one of their names. I’m beyond thankful, and will spread the word. Thank you for hiring the most compassionate and caring individuals.

When our cat’s health deteriorated rapidly, we were only able to get an appointment at his vet for three days later. He kept getting worse, so we brought him to this hospital. Every person we encountered was incredibly kind to us, and helped guide us through a very difficult decision. When we did decide to put him down, they gave us time with him in a private room beforehand and let us stay with him through the end. I wouldn’t have wanted to have it any other way.

They took our dog right away when we arrived and were very friendly through the process. The dog had to be sedated to remove porcupine quills from her nose. It was done quickly and efficiently with the process fully explained along the way. While we hope we don't need to have a return visit, we won't hesitate to go there when needed

I am beyond grateful and happy with the service I received today at this Animal Hospital for my rabbit! Every single person I spoke to was kind and personable, they took the time to really listen to my concerns and offer alternatives and I was never made to feel like I was wasting their time with my questions. They didn’t push me to do any extra tests… in fact, they explained to me why an x-ray wasn’t even necessary which is the opposite of my experience at a previous animal emergency clinic. As a bonus, I even got a little personal touch added to my rabbit’s pharmacy bag. ;) 10/10, highly recommend!

Took my dog to Ophthalmology due to an eye ulcer. They were very quick and efficient. Coopers eye was worked on, procedure wasn't too complicated and the after care was fantastic. Very happy with the service we received.

I was in distress as my rabbit was not eating/drinking and was barely moving. I called this vet as it was past midnight on the weekend and this vet was the ONLY emergency hospital qualified for rabbits in Ottawa. I was told they were full and couldn't look at him… but I could bring him in to be put down? What kind of an emergency animal hospital is this. Offering to put down my animal that’s in need of critical care before even examining him? I am completley disgusted in the lack of compassion and lack of willingness to do anything but put him down without even looking at him. The service I received was absolutely unacceptable, it failed me and my pet and he sadly passed away a few hours after I called. I brought him to another vet who doesn’t even handle rabbits in the morning for after life care and they were filled with compassion and even let me come in earlier than opening hours to help me as this so called “emergency” hospital did NOTHING and now my boy is gone and I was left feeling abandoned and helpless in the middle of the night not knowing if he could’ve been saved.

We have nothing but praise for the staff, from receptionists and vet techs to the 3 different veterinarians who saw Mickey the kitten. He had swallowed a 30-40 cm sewing thread. He was triaged immediately, and operated on in the middle of the night mainly due to critical patients who had arrived that day and needed urgent care. The staff called us at 11 pm to say surgery would be soon and the vet called at 3am to explain the results of the surgery. At no time in 3 days did we feel rushed when asking more questions, even do the wonderful doctor who pulled out the long thread from his intestine. We had 3 different vets attend to Mickey: before during and after surgery. We had superb vet techs too who explained everything clearly and with such a positive and reassuring attitude it put us at ease. Every single person at the hospital was kind, compassionate, thoughtful, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Our wait during triage was made less stressful when a staff member off duty was showing the families and parents her pet gecko. We just felt that this was a good place to be.Costs were communicated upfront and updated with each advancement in care. Each step of the post surgery and the costs were also clearly and patiently communicated. Staff went out of their way to spend time with the kitten and commented on his cuteness, reactions to staff and improvements - and every pet owner knows how important this is.Aside from the long wait til surgery time which was only due to crisis management of other animals, this hospital proved to be gold star. Even the final cost was under the lowest estimate. This is a bilingual hospital serving the Ottawa area and we are very lucky. Whoever owns this hospital (I believe not a large corporation, but perhaps some veterinarians), WELL DONE

We have had excellent, professional and caring treatment at this hospital from everyone _ reception, vet techs, veterinarians. Our young cat swallowed a string and required abdominal surgery. We got frequent updates on his progress, delivered in a straightforward and compassionate way. There must be gifted management at work here, besides excellent staff. Thank you all.
